Finished s9 of Survivors (end of the run) and on to sequel, New Dawn. Superb. Easily one of the most consistent current series in any medium. There's never been a bad episode.

Finally listened to all of the first collection of The War Doctor Begins, quite good. Will need to get the rest.

I listened to the two UFO releases.
They're fine, I think the release schedule just doesn't help the shows like this and Space 1999.

It amazes me after the thousands of releases they've done that Big Finish can still knock out ideas that make you think, "ooh, that's brilliant. Why's that never been done before?"
Which is exactly what I thought reading tonight's PR about the third/fourth multi doctor story with TWO Sarah Janes. I'm in!

Sprang for some newish releases - Space 1999 vol 3, and Dark Season: Legacy Rising, that should do me nicely for TFN listening, and for the journeys home when I am back at work afterwards.

That seems... Odd. And a cast of two playing over twenty characters aswell.

It is the very definition of niche.
"Here are imaginary radio versions of some of the TV episodes that weren't originally adapted for radio. Even though the radio version was prettu close to the TV version anyway."

Dad's Army is like Doctor Who's little brother when it comes to restoration and archiving. It's had animations to fill missing episodes, as well as remakes and colour restorations of black and white eps. I suppose it's reasonable for Big Finish to think that there's a market for people who might want to complete the radio versions of the series (13 eps were not used from the original TV scripts it seems). It seems odd though, as it's adding to what was already an adaptation of an original anyway. I've got all the radio eps but I don't feel an urge to get more done by people who aren't the original cast. I love people like Tim Treloar doing the third Doctor, but I wouldn't buy a CD of him performing in an existing story. Doesn't make sense.

The "user experience" has been improved with a new eye-sore website which...doesn't work. It is now utterly impossible to find your stuff in the download library as the search filters have been removed.
Some downloads have also vanished. 14 for me.
My address details are now wrong.
They will lose a fuckton of customers of customers to other vendors.

I haven't looked at the new site, but the old one being unexpectedly down for two days screwed over me using the sale on lost stories to get the Baker ones that came out last year. The site only came back up after the offer had finished. I was in the middle of trying to buy them when it went down, got them as far as the basket then the site went down before I could check out.

It's completely unusable in its current state. I can't find what I would want to buy or find the purchased stories I would like to download. This is how you tank a brand in one day. -Ralph
