Indeed though Dark Shadows has become their stealth success story outwith DW. It's been running since 2006!

Shame. I love the Survivors stuff, but I can't claim to be a devoted fan because I've only got the first two sets. I must ensure I get the other six before they vanish.

I wouldn't panic as S8 is not due until November. There is an S9 still listed with no details for June 2019 though.

Audio drama is expensive! For some series it is a yearly purchase!

Unlikely. Why spend money making it?
I suspect a short-term licence or limited cast availability.

I have reached the premature end of the Jago & Litefoot audios due to Trevor Baxter passing away. Great until the end though going by the extras there had been no plans to end it otherwise. I understand why audio drama costs what it does but I do hope that in the future when the commercial side of it has been exhausted that it gets a full run on BBC Radio/Iplayer. Deserves a wider audience beyond the niche of a niche of the die-hard DW fans.

I tried ATA Girl and Blind Terror from their Originals range. ATA Girl was great stuff and I had never heard of the Air Transport Auxilaries in WWII prior to this. Also good to have some new writers in there. There is a scene in episode 3 which is easily the most terrifying thing I have ever heard in an audio production. I was literally biting my hand in fear!
Blind Terror is a pretty good horror story though I'm not entirely convinced by the last episode. Up until then it had me gripped and I liked how it went for atmosphere rather than gore. I'm just not sure about the ending. Worth a try though.

(Picked it up when the released it as a sort of teaser earlier in the year. I've kept it and the War Master story as Christmas treats). I suspect that I might end up buying the rest of it in due course. Karl

BF has moved to a new website and as usual with these kind of things there have been many Day 1 problems. However, unlike the last upgrade I haven't lost any downloads this time*!

The Gerry Anderson store variant of the release sold out in less than a day of SPACE:1999. That was 500 copies. Pretty impressive for what is a reboot of an obscure series!

Last warehouse sale BF were clearancing their Pathfinder range, £2 a disc. I enjoyed the few that I heard from the first series, so took the chance to sweep the rest. They came today and I was surprised to find series 2 & 3 are all double disc jobs. Lot of listening here for peanuts.

The Pathfinder series? Cool! There was one series 2 story that they didn't have as a CD and it's taken me two attempts to get that; I bought one from eBay that weekend of the sale super cheap, which mysteriously didn't arrive (seller realised they had an out of print CD and wanted more for it?), but then found an even cheaper new copy on amazon. I'm just missing a CD of 1.5 to replace my download copy.

Impressive picture of Tim Bentinck. He's David Archer you know. Of 'The Archers' fame.
So by the Space Year 1999 we know there are farmers on the moon.

I got the version that was exclusive to the Gerry Anderson store. Slipcase, extra booklet with production art from the tv and a link to an extra download with archive chat from Gerry about the TV show. Also comes with download of the story from my BF account. Pretty good service, really.
Listened to the start of it. Sounds good. A proper listen after I finish going through the TV show re-watch.
