I've noticed that some of the Beast Hunters deluxes I have still sealed aren't sealed any more. The glue holding the plastic to the card has dried out. If toys less than a year old are doing that now there's no hope.

I wouldn't put anything in the garage Shockprowl, much worse damp in there than the loft.

My Lego X-Wings were about to go in the loft. Then I remembered their mechanisms are dependent on rubber bands!
