Looks like it. I imagine with what's being done with the X-books at the moment they pulled the Excalibur stuff away a little.
Still it's Captain Britain. Who knows they may let him find Meggan in the series.

I think I may well give this a go. Cornell is a writer I find maddeningly variable, but I do rather enjoy some of his output. Besides, I have a soft-spot for Captain Britain as a character in any event. I even picked up the first two issues of the last "Excaliber" book on the grounds that I felt duty-bound to at least see what they did with Cappy.

I thought the last Excalibur book was horseshit and the redesign of Cap's costume was bloody awful. Looks like he's back in the classic threads again, which works for me.

Everyone kept saying how good Cornell's Wisdom mini was, so I'm down for this!

I can't help but feel that Ringo the Skrull would have been a lot more awesome, but I'll take this.

I was interested in this until I realised it's launching as a segment of the next nth-part Mega Supah Crossover (Secret Invasion) so I shall pass and maybe give it a go when the crossover is out the way.

Hmm. Now I think of it, that's most of the cast who are middle-class or upper-class, with the exception of Pete Wisdom and John the Skrull (who is only emulating working-class). On top of four being southern English and the other two being non-Britons.
Seems a bit odd.

The fact this title starts with a crossover does not fill me with glee, but looking at the various titles i chance it will be on the periphery, Marvel has almost always looked at Britain and seen "England", A practice I've always found quite moribund, I'll still be plumping up the cash for it when it hits the shops, In the vain hope that the Diamond best sellers list it tops!

The variant cover by Brandon Peterson is up. More eyecatching than Bryan Hitch's version. Andy

Decent cover there. Has a bit of oomph and energy to it that the Hitch one lacks. If I do pick this up (and it has Captain Britain in it, so it has its own gravity well as far as I am concerned) this will likely be the cover I look for.
Karl (The aircraft geek in me is also pleased to see Peterson has had some decent photo-reference for those Tornado ADV's. Always nice to see a decent stab at actual real aircraft on the page)

Yeah spotted that. Bit of a shame really a good book. Hopefully the trade sales will be strong enough we might see a mini or something later down the line.

I had been planning to follow it in trade anyway.
Cornell's FF mini ('True Story') was good. Recently read the trade of it. The FF journey into the realm of fiction. Fun.
He's a very hit and miss writer but when on form, very good.

The first trade is damned good, have the next two on pre-order and the Captain's fate is the subject of tomorrow morning's full colour Weird Without End. (End's blatant plug)

A shame. It was a series that started out quite well, and that I was rather enjoying until a major change in my personal budget meant that I had to drop it on financial grounds. A pity it has become a casualty though.

Didn't read any of this at the time. May have read issue 1 in the Comixology free issure ones giveaway a few years ago.
Spotted the first four issues were in the Comixology Secret Invasion sale last night so bought them to see what it's like.
