Commander class candidates- Gigastorm (with a trypticon retool) Tidal Wave Sludge Scorponok (G1) Skylynx Predaking (TFP) Metroplex (Cybertron) (with a devastator repaint and a fort max retool) Menasor (Cybertron) Landfill (Cybertron) Landfill (RiD) Railracer Tankor Broadside Tripredacus Magnaboss TorcaMonstructor Omega Supreme (Energon) Jetfire (Armada) Optimus Prime (Energon) Fucking Torca! YES! GIVE ME! Nice list - it's definitely worth remembering other continuities. Hasbro won't, of course. But it's nice to hope. My pick of all of those would be Monstructor - but only if they all have Pretender shells! So that's not going to happen. Sky Lynx is a good call, too. And it's not completely unlikely - I know we had one recently, but we did also have a Leader Jetfire "recently", and yet here we are. I know that we had Sky Lynx more recently than Jetfire, but it's still been a couple of years now, so I don't think that precludes them from doing it at all.

THE DOCTOR!
...had a great idea, over in the 'Shockprowl opens Siege Prowl' thread!
That a 3P outfit should make Prowl his motorbike/gun-emplacement from Action Masters!
Soooo.....
WHAT ABOUT DOING ACTION MASTER VEHICLES FOR GENERATIONS FIGURES?!?!?!
They'd be large... But, toy engineering-wise, they wouldn't have to do much if you think about it. Just fold out a bit etc.
IT COULD BE A THING!

If they were weaponizers, maybe. But vehicles have not done well over the last twenty years. And these would appeal to a minority of a minority. Most fans still view Actionmasters as the thing that killed G1, instead of a last attempt to save a dying franchise.
I think vehicles in TF would probably sell better if the transformers turned into vehicles other TFs could use.
But I do think the weaponizer gimmick is likely to be the most underutilized gimmick around. Quite a few actionmaster accessories would make good non-robot weaponizers.

I think I'd rather have some decent playsets. I just want a fricking diorama for my figures.

Vehicles were tried in Prime's Cyberverse sizes, mainly for the Legion figures. I loved them but they didn't do well. I can't see anyone going that way any time soon, especially for a larger size of figure.

Jazz's skateboard, Bumblebee's helipack, Shockwave's... chum....

• Deluxe Prowl- Sideways honage to TFA and Actionmaster Prowls. Transforms into the AM motorbike he had, with a TFA Prowl robot mode. Can be ridden by most deluxes.
• Commander Class Optimus Prime- Complete vehicle is the actionmaster truck and trailer. Voyager sized Cab can turn into a flying skiff that can be used be deluxes or legends. Robot mode is either a whole new design, or a classics version of movie/tfp. Trailer can be used be deluxes and legends similar to the original, but it now can become super mode armor.

The vehicle/playset aspect of that line was why I mostly collected the Cyberverse-scale figures during TFP. Well, that and available funds, also.

They could do themed for the characters who have been actions masters in the line back in the 80's. If Jazz has slots on is feet so he can stand on a skateboard?

It might not hurt Hasbro to test the waters at least once in the Generations Select line, by offering a Weaponizer accessory pack. Bumblebee's Helipack Blaster's Jetpack Jazz's skateboard And maybe a couple original or other "forgotten" accessories. All of them capable of breaking down into weapons. I mean, if it doesn't sell, that's a risk. But if it does, then they found a new market. One I think is there, as stuff like this is where the 3Ps found their start.

The problem with those choices is none of the characters meant to use them is currently in circulation, though that hasn't stopped the Battlemasters!
More importantly there isn't a version of BB or Blaster with a backpack hole or Jazz with feet holes that would enable them to use the accessories!

I mean, Siege Prowl looks more like Jazz and Prowl! Especially in car mode!
And Action Master vehicles/accessories are basically Weaponisers for non-transforming Transformers.

The selling point of Siege is the ability to completely swap iconic weaponry like putting Megatron's fusion cannon on Sideswipe's arm for no reason.

In many ways, yes, you're right.
However by doing Jazz's Skateboard, BB's Helipack and Blaster Jetpack you are creating an expectation that these will work with Jazz, BB & Blaster, which at the moment they don't, and thus an expectation that all three will get a new version soon that they will work with.
I think after the lack of Targetmasters and "missing" characters a few years Hasbro is a little more awake to that sort of thing now.

But if we're considering weapons, and we have wandered off the original concept for vehicles, how about: - Launcher & white missile for Red Alert - using existing Sideswipe moulds
- Launchers for Prowl - using the Barricade/Bluestreak/Smokescreen moulds
- White Gun for Sideswipe - using the black Red Alert gun
- Red Gun for Red Alert - using the black Red Alert gun
Throw in a Lioniser that's painted like the Action Master version and a bunch of blast effects. I have money!

Considering that there aren't even any rumors for missing targetmasters, they still haven't done all the headmasters and don't seem too bothered by this, and gave us an entire incomplete line of shell only pretenders without the actual pretender characters, I respectfully disagree.

Hasbro certainly planned more Headmasters, Targetmasters and Pretenders though didn't they? Thinking about the stuff thatneeded releasing as exclusive/cancelled boxsets/obvious retools that didn't happen/unused pretender shells (we saw a Waverider that never got released). A lot of it comes down to what retailers want to be stocking over what hasbro wants to do, but that said, they could have paced their character selections a bit better

They could have given us siren or nightbeat, but gave us a powermaster instead (which in turn starts us on ANOTHER incomplete set) Could have given us the "small" decepticon headmasters, but gave us the monsterbots instead.
I don't think they really cared about complete sets.
