I am now a TFCC Sideburn Owner. 1 toy, in bag, in box. No bubble wrap or packaging. Spoiler tip bent round 90 degrees. Easily fixed though since the plastic is relatively flexable. But the Arm falls at the shoulder off if look at it wrong and the Backpack won't stay straight.
So where have they been since 27th July?

Mine seems fine (except for loose ball joints on the arms) and the slight spoiler bend which I fixed
I like to think that they've all been on a magical journey to Narnia for the past month and that's why they're all so late (and why their spoilers are bent lol)

The arm falling off, is something that happened to a lot off the Battle in Space boxed set as well. My Rodimus from that had the same issue. As does Sideburn.
Spoiler is alright though.
Great job at packing by TFCC - oh wait not it wasn't. Fucking pathetic.

They get told constantly. They just don't give a toss.

One horn, and the crest, is painted on the head of mine. The other isn't, there's just a nasty smudge under the horn and above the eye. Hmmm. The same as on the publicity image. Ah it's intentional - see RID Sideburn - just looks odd. Something's not quite right about the flame deco either, it looks a bit murky in places. And it needs an Autobot symbol in the middle.

Later today I'm going to have to return to my Rodimus review to include a write up of this whole sorry saga....
I hope we don't have to go through it again next year!

My Sideburn is perfect. If anything he has fewer niggles than my classics Hot Rod.

Forgive the cross-post from the Week 35 thread, If it bothers you then fine me some bread:
I joined the TFCC after the cut-off date to get the toy of Sideburn, Yet they sent me one anyway: this doth make me gurn. This befuddles and amuses me in equal measure, It certainly gives me some kind of pleasure. I have double checked when I joined just now, TFCC needs to take some kind of bow!

And they're not covering postage costs for returning faulty items. Idiots.
Doubly stupid is that they sold their excess stock before waiting for subscribers to get their figure. They even told people not to contact them about where their figure was until after the start of September! It would have made more sense to wait until after then before selling excess stock through the club store, surely?

Someone really needs to work out which part of Hasbro needs to be contacted to complain about the club. I far from hate them, but they seem to take little interest in fan feedback and I'm not sure how much Hasbro hears of the things they do wrong.
I think this time even they realise selling Sideburn when they did was dumb beyond belief and a completely unneeded PR nightmare for them. I doubt the same will happen next year, but on the other hand for at least the second year running packaging for the inclusive club figure has been wholly in adequate.

The whole saga is mindboggling. They seem to have worked on the principle that there would be no problems and no need to do any replacements whatsoever. Which, given their apparent incomprehension about the need to properly package things for transnational shipping, is quite frankly hugely overoptimistic.
The fact that their entire plan for replacements for lost items seems to revolve around sending out (presumably) refurbished things that have been returned for being broken does not provoke much confidence either.
They really should have waited a while for those people who were already due the thing before opening up sales to the rest of the folks.
Would speaking to the licensee about this have any impact.... Depends, if they feel that it could provoke a real damage to the brand then they might be interested. But on the other hand the Club presumably is making money and is presumably timeous with the licensing fees... Depends on how much it is on their radar at all I guess.

I don't think any one thing would cause FP a problem but having a place to send the (let be honest) fairly continuous stream of issues might at least cause Hasbro to take note.

Indeed. This Pete chap from the Club really doesn't seem to be getting it...
A company statement on the website would be more helpful than random replies on message boards.
