I do indeed also sniff toys when opening them, especially old ones. So I was especially excited when, in 2011, I picked up a sealed set of Beast Wars Optimus Primal and Megatron basics from eBay. I was very excited to relish that classic, matured air, so I eagerly (but carefully), peeled the bubble back, inserted my nose, and relished... the utter fucking stink of it. Foul. Something had broken down in there, clearly, but I have no idea what. I'm sure I've not been the same since.

Not that I've stopped sniffing toys, of course.
