It really irks me that there are only four basic voyager molds in this line. Given that the leader class contributed absolutely bothing to the central gimmick, aside from inappropriately oversides and expensive representations of normal sized guys, did this class even need to exist in CW? Megatron would have been better served as a voyager, and indeed IS being better served in the very next line. Thus making him and the very unfaithful same wave Armada version completely superfluous. The less said about three waves of $50 seekers, the better. The only one that really worked as a toy, and of that class was Ultra Magnus. And he honestly would have been more at home in a different line.
So it really irks me, and I sorta feel that had they outright scrapped Leader class, pushed Magnus earlier into the the regular Generations, or held it back until TR, while scrapping the others, I feel they could have used that bit of budget to pop out two or three new voyagers. We could have gotten a Megatron or Bludgeon tank, and maybe a Shockwave with Scattershot retool. Or whatever they came up with.

I'd go with that. I don't begrudge the jets because without them we wouldn't have had Jetfire at leader scale, but they certainly weren't needed. I wonder what the rationale was behind that Megatron. It's like they hadn't quite thought through what they were doing with the scale, more thinking that big expensive toys had to be recognisable names. I've never really bought the stand-in MP idea, although we have seen that with the constructions.
I'd have loved to see more Voyager variety.

How many CW/UW combiners were there in total? -Ralph A good question - all in both series unless marked 1) Superion 2) Menasor 3) Defensor 4) Bruticus 5) Computron - 3 limbs are between the two versions & UW Scattershot is remoulded. 6) Optimus Maximus - CW uses white Prime, UW Red 7) Sky Reign/Lynx Master - CW SR has a Smokescreen Limb, UW has Ratchet 8) CW G2 Superion 9) CW G2 Menasor 10) CW G2 Bruticus 11) CW Victorion 12) CW Liokaiser 13) UW Grand Galvatron - CW Galvatronus exists but his combo uses limbs from elsewhere 14) UW Megatronia 15) UW Baldigus 16) TFCC Predacus 17) TFSS Thunder Mayhem 18) TFSS Wreckage - Toxitron, Impactor, Bluestreak, Counterpunch & Fractyl There's a TFCC combiner that's meant to be Magnaboss but since that uses components in other combiners I'm not counting that. So leftover we have, assuming you bought one of everything: 1) Red/White Optimus 2) Grand Scourge 3) UW Ratchet/CW Smokescreen 4) TFCC Under-3 5) TFCC Tigatron 6) TFCC Terrorsaur 7) Alpha Bravo 8) Off Road 9) Rook If TFSS 5.0's bonus is a CW limb you'll have parts for 2 more combiners

Actually, looking at that list it's far from dead for me. Just depends how much I'm willing to spend to get all those exclusive figures I don't own.
I still love this line more than TR you know.

My head can't get round the same bits as the same characters being in two toys at once. And I feel those bits make poor versions of the BW characters. AND I can't apply the f***ing stickers.
