If only the car roof had some how compressed in to the robot torso.
I'm starting to think it was done as a homage to G1 cartoon BB who was frequently drawn with a bulging great chest.

The red paint is about the only thing I do like about them. Reminds me of G2 Hubcap who was my Cliffjumper.

I'm gunna get one after the move, me thinks. Reckon he'll go well robot-size wise with Alts and MPs.

Well, I was thinking that this didn't appeal to me based on the early pictures. But now we have better pictures I am certain in my opinion - I am definitely not going to be getting it. The car mode is nice, but the humanoid mode just seems to be very misproportioned and not pleasing to me aesthetically.

Also the legs have are a bit spindly like MP-Megatron. When you consider how well proportioned Alt-01 and Alt-02 were, it's all a little, odd. However, I'm thinking this is one of those figures that when in hand may seem a little better.

Any word as to the back story for Alt. BBB and CJ? I seem to recall Ralph posting a backstory of the Alternity line and how it was like some dimmensional eating hole in space time that did very bad things and made them ninjas...or something like that?
Anyways - I too am not a fan of this line.

Scans of their power plans have just went up, so hopefully someone will take some time to translate them in due course.

Even before a translation is made - here is my guess:
Bumblebee comes from the X zone of the galactic core beyond the depths of time. He has traveled far and wide from his great snatching location after running from the Devil Farm Matrix Projection of Lord Verzgerger in the 24th sub-dimmension of the B Nebula. Upon arriving on Earth, Optimus Prime gives him a special ninja mission to transform into a British car and spy on Dr. Exolorxoles who is developing a time traveling devise of great power. Bumblebee does the job but is attacked by Devil Ghost Blaster Monsters from the Zorlac Dimmension and needs Cliffjumper to save him.
....
We'll see how far off the mark I am

Did The Hub review Alternity Prime?
Is he any good?
He's getting re release, I thought I'd pick him up.
I'm also looking at the Henkei and War for Cybertron versions too.

I've handled one, and he really really doesn't do it for me. I'm the opposite from the review, I loved the binaltech range, I think the Alternity is just too small to get a nice vehicle/satisfying transformation, especially if I'm paying around 35 quid for it, and I hate the flip from die-cast car/plastic robot innards to plastic car/die-cast robot innards. The innards are less accessable and so makes it feel much cheaper.

I couldn't find anything last night Phil, but then there are a lot of products there, but that's probably poor searching. I was looking for the Henkei re-res too.

Is Alternity a continuation from Alternators/Binaltech? Much like Generations is to Classics/Universe.

And consequently I find that Alternity Bumblebee fits in wonderfully with the rest of the BT/Alt/MP world.

I did pick up the black version of Alternity Prime and it's cool. I'd like to get one of the Magatrons at some point.

Used to collect the Alternators whilst they were a 'current' range. have about 9 or 10 in total. Wouldn't mind a few more, but they aren't cheap on the secondhand market, more than I'm willing to pay personally. Plus... Well, I don't miss the toy range that much since it finished. They were great as display pieces, in both modes, but pretty lousy as fun action figures with intuitive transformations. The limitations placed on Hasbro by the car manufacturers and limited character selection got rather grating, too.
