If you went in a 2nd hand shop & saw in a pile of books a NM copy of the Transformers annual 1992 (the last one with Dinobot cover) for £1
Would you buy it?
For me its YES!!!!! I've seen it on sale for £300+ & I do keep checking shops - I have picked up a Rescuebots Bumblebee garage from Sue Ryder shop for £1. I might find the annual on sale someday.

Alright, I'll bite. Why is that so much more expensive than the other annuals?

It's the last Marvel UK annual and is the one with Another Time and Place in it.

I think it had a lower print run than the endless 3rd annual that was in Scarborough shops for a few years.

What annoys me is that I must have seen it multiple times at car boot sales, but for some reason I have never picked it up. I think I thought I already had it so didn't bother.
Now I know I don't I never see it any more.

I think we should all agree, if we see it in the wild at a reasonable price we should buy it and we can then ensure folks can get their hands on it without being price-gouged by randoms.

As much as I love 'Another Time and Place' it's the second weakest Marvel annual after the 1991 one. Both 1991 and 1992 had reprints rather than original strips, but 1992 edges it because its reprinted stories were appearing in colour for the first time. On the other hand, 1991 had a much better cover. Anyone who doesn't own a copy of the 1992 annual but who has access to a colour printer can print out the essential (i.e. original) material from it by going here (it calls it the 1991 annual): www.ntfa.net/ntfa/comics/anothertime/index.phpSadly all my annuals except the 1990 one suffered from damp / yellowing / mould at some point, so I'm thankful to IDW and James Roberts for reprinting them in TF UK Classics.
