No I haven't. We've done this!
The Special Teams were special BECAUSE the limbs were interchangeable.
Besides, since when are the Seacons one of the special teams?

I know what the Special Teams are!
They're the original four. Seacons aren't one of the big four. Also, Special Teams were sold as having interchangeable limbs. I'm not talking Scramble City.

Look at the official leaflet officially included with official special teams toys. It officially says in official bold lettering that any official vehicle can officially form any official arm or leg of an official combined form.

I'm confused by one thing. Special Teams AREN'T Scramble City, are they? I thought Scramble City were what Special Teams were before they joined Transformers. Like the '84ers were diaclone before becoming Transformers.

When the Special Teams came out in Transformers in Japan they had their own subline name - Scramble City. The toys in that line were the four Special Teams, Metroplex, Trypticon, Ultra Magnus and Galvatron. Remember at the time, Japan didn't get TF the movie, so Ultra M & Galavatron took the 'City Commander' roles that bled over into their Hasbro Tech Specs. There was a one off anime that went with that, and the line takes its name from the Japanese name for Metroplex - Scramble City.

Ok, so, in Scramble City the limbs could change position? Even between torsos?

Ahhh, it was a Japanese thing, not a pre-Transformers thing... Gotcha. Yes. Although Ultra Magnus reused a Diaclone mould. Metroplex and the four Special Teams were intended for a Diaclone line in 1985, but that didn't happen because by that point the Transformers were so popular they went straight into that instead.

Ok, so, in Scramble City the limbs could change position? Even between torsos? If we step back through this very thread we encounter images that cause Ralph great distress that show exactly this:

No, you're right. When Superion and Menasor fight they show how they can swap their own limbs around (not helped by animation colouring errors that mean Menasor's limbs swap back and forth from shot to shot) but Menasor tries to defeat Superion by firing Dead End (one of two Dead Ends attached to him at the time...) at him. He connects to his leg.

Yes they were. The Special Teams wallchart stated which robot formed which limb, but it didn't match the pictures on the wall chart which in turn didn't match the Transformers Universe model sheets. For example, the wallchart says First Aid is Defensor's left leg, but in the picture (and TFU) he's the left arm. And it says Dead End is Menasor's left arm (in agreement with the TFU pic), but in the picture / box art he's the right leg. In TFU/A-Z, Air Raid is Superion's right arm, the wall sheet says he's the left leg, but in the picture on the wall chart he's the right leg. In TFU/A-Z, Brawl is Bruticus's left leg, below Vortex the arm. On the wall sheet, Brawl is on the right, below Blast Off. They move around! This has been pointed out to you before!!! Martin
