1: Shaun the Sheep Movie. 2: The Old Vic’s ‘The Crucible’. 3: Whiplash. 4: Globe on Screen: Titus Andronicus. 5: The Terminator (re-release). 6: Inside Out. 7: The Theory of Everything. 8: Big Hero 6. 9: Future Shock: The Story of 2000AD (UK Premiere). 10: The Lego Movie (BAFTA re-release). 11: Globe on Screen: Comedy of Errors. 12: Globe on Screen: The Duchess of Malfi. 13: The Lord of the Rings (1978, re-release). 14: The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water. 15: The Sound of Music (re-release). 16: Globe on Screen: Julius Caesar. 17: The Age of Adaline. 18: Globe on Screen: Anthony and Cleopatra. 19: American Sniper. 20: A Most Violent Year. 21: Mad Max: Fury Road. 22: Maggie. 23: Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (IMAX). 24: Ant-Man. 25: The Gambler (2014). 26: Selma. 27: Kill The Messenger. 28: Fast and Furious 7 (IMAX). 29: The Water Diviner. 30: Wild Card. 31: Run All Night. 32: The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya (subbed). 33: Cinderella (2015). 34: True Story. 35: Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance. 36: Kingsman: The Secret Service (IMAX). 37: Avengers: Age of Ultron. 38: Hitman: Agent 47 - Surprisingly enjoyable nonsense and just what I was in the mood for when a bit knackered. 39: Child 44. 40: Good Kill. 41: Project Almanac. 42: Man Up. 43: It Follows. 44: The Salvation. 45: Unbroken. 46: Spooks: The Greater Good. 47: Unfriended. 48: The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (IMAX): It doesn't quite work, is a bit of a mess and completely deflates in the last act yet is not without its merits. There are some nice performances, a cracking score and some fun bits. It's trying too hard but it's not awful. Henry Cavill (an actor I usually find wooden) is surprisingly fun to watch, managing to evoke Robert Vaughn without imitating him. Alas, Armie Hammer can't step out from the shadow of David McCallum, Alicia Vikander is under-used and Hugh Grant appears strangely bored. Worth a watch though. 49: Spy. 50: Mr Holmes. 51: The Connection. 52: Son of a Gun. 53: The Woman in Black: Angel of Death. 54: Taken 3 (IMAX). 55: The New Girlfriend. 56: Seventh Son. 57: Foxcatcher. 58: Minions. 59: A Little Chaos. 60: Ex Machina. 61: Tomorrowland: A World Beyond (IMAX). 62: The Legend of Barney Thomson. 63: The Divergent Series: Insurgent. 64: Far From The Madding Crowd (2015). 65: Hot Pursuit. 66: Terminator: Genisys. 67: San Andreas. 68: Southpaw. 69: Self/Less. 70: John Wick. 71: The Gunman. 72: Chappie. 73: Blackhat. 74: Into The Woods. 75: Pixels: Picked purely to pass the time so I can't get too annoyed by it. Not as bad as the trailer suggested but somehow staggeringly dull and very boring despite the neat idea at the core of it. 76: Big Game. 77: The Falling. 78: Jurassic World. 79: fantastic Four (2015). 80: Survivor. 81: Jupiter Ascending. 82: Pitch Perfect 2.

The relationship she has isn't remotely believable, no-one acts like a real person. The direction is flat and lifeless and the lack of genuine wit, charm or sparkle beat down upon me like acid rain from a desolate sky. I begged for the release the end credits would bring the way a man begs for water when trapped in the middle of an especially harsh and unforgiving desert. Awful.

(IMAX). 49: Spy. 50: Mr Holmes. 51: The Connection. 52: No Escape: For a while it gets by on a well-staged sense of a mad situation escalating outwith control then it fumbles the ball by giving the 'characters' awful dialogue and falters with an unusually below-par turn from Pierce Brosnan. Not a bad attempt at what it's trying to do though and the first half hour is quite arresting. 53: Son of a Gun. 54: The Woman in Black: Angel of Death. 55: Taken 3 (IMAX). 56: The New Girlfriend. 57: Seventh Son. 58: Foxcatcher. 59: Minions. 60: A Little Chaos. 61: Ex Machina. 62: Legend: A tad hagiographic and cartoony. It was quite uncomfortable at times sitting in a crowd guffawing at the 'hilarious' antics of deeply unpleasant people who are shown to be a bit cuddly really. Can't be denied that it's well performed though. 63: Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials - Did you like '28 Days Later'? Would you like to see it again but bereft of wit, imagination and toned down for the kiddies? Then this is the film for you! Sadly at no point does anyone turn to the camera and intone that "THIS AIN'T NO MAZE ANYMORE!" It's a bit rubbish (just like the first one) but for no reason I can explain I know full well I'll be back next year for THE TITANIC DULL SURPRISE CONCLUSION. 64: Tomorrowland: A World Beyond (IMAX). 65: The Transporter Refuelled: Non-Statham goes on wacky missions with his dad! Average Euro Crash-bang-wallop fare. The lead is both wooden and not Statham but his dad is fun. 66: American Ultra: Tonally a bit awkward. It's going for a specific style it doesn't quite hit. Suffers a lot alas in that if you have seen the trailer you've already seen the whole film. 67: The Legend of Barney Thomson. 68: The Divergent Series: Insurgent. 69: Far From The Madding Crowd (2015). 70: Hot Pursuit. 71: Terminator: Genisys. 72: San Andreas. 73: Southpaw. 74: Self/Less. 75: John Wick. 76: The Gunman. 77: Chappie. 78: Blackhat. 79: Into The Woods. 80: Pixels. 81: Big Game. 82: The Falling. 83: Jurassic World. 84: Fantastic Four (2015). 85: Survivor. 86: Jupiter Ascending. 87: Pitch Perfect 2. 88: Trainwreck.

It's gentle and amiable enough until it just stops. I doubt it will remain in the memory much but it's a pleasant watch while it's on and it's always good to see Robert Redford in a lead role again. 60: Bill: Essentially a feature-length episode of 'Horrible Histories'. It does come across in film format as a bit sub-par Monty Python but it's innoffensive and does raise a few titters. It's as cinematic as wallpaper but it's hard to kick. Some of the performances are lovely (especially the chap playing Christopher Marlowe) and it's trying to educate the target audience a bit. It will be much more appreciated on home video formats though. 61: Minions. 62: A Little Chaos. 63: Ex Machina. 64: Legend. 65: Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. 66: Tomorrowland: A World Beyond (IMAX). 67: The Transporter Refuelled. 68: American Ultra. 69: The Legend of Barney Thomson. 70: The Divergent Series: Insurgent. 71: Far From The Madding Crowd (2015). 72: Hot Pursuit. 73: Terminator: Genisys. 74: San Andreas. 75: Southpaw. 76: Self/Less. 77: John Wick. 78: The Gunman. 79: Chappie. 80: Blackhat. 81: Into The Woods. 82: Pixels. 83: Big Game. 84: The Falling. 85: Jurassic World. 86: Fantastic Four (2015). 87: Survivor. 88: Jupiter Ascending. 89: Pitch Perfect 2. 90: Trainwreck.

Well I've seen two of the 90 films twice and also been to 8 live-stream theatre shows in the fleapit so A Walk in the Woods marks the 100th visit to a cinema seat in 2015. Not exactly the achievement I wanted to reach this year but hey-ho.

Booked to see Spectre from my favourite cinema seat on the day that it opens.

14: Sicario: Like the director's previous film 'Prisoners', I found this highly engrossing and also a far more intelligent take on the 'war on drugs' than tends to come out of Hollywood. Very cinematic and the most interesting use of a sound mix in a long time. Every now and then a low rhythmic pulsing dreambeat comes from the lower left speaker and subwoofer, sometimes interjected by discordant notes from the middle of the screen. Combined with some of the shot choices, you really feel disorientated: like you've been transported to another planet. I could hear the drums even when they weren't playing and I have found myself mulling over the film quite a bit since I saw it. Bencio Del Toro (an actor I do not usually care for) is utterly magnetic to watch. I caught a preview: hope this does well on general release. 15: The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water. 16: The Sound of Music (re-release). 17: Globe on Screen: Julius Caesar. 18: The Age of Adaline. 19: Globe on Screen: Anthony and Cleopatra. 20: American Sniper. 21: A Most Violent Year. 22: Mad Max: Fury Road. 23: Maggie. 24: Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (IMAX). 25: Ant-Man. 26: The Gambler (2014). 27: Selma. 28: Kill The Messenger. 29: Fast and Furious 7 (IMAX). 30: The Water Diviner. 31: Wild Card. 32: Run All Night. 33: The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya (subbed). 34: Cinderella (2015). 35: True Story. 36: Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance. 37: Kingsman: The Secret Service (IMAX). 38: Avengers: Age of Ultron. 39: Hitman: Agent 47. 40: Child 44. 41: Good Kill. 42: Project Almanac. 43: Man Up. 44: It Follows. 45: The Salvation. 46: Unbroken. 47: Spooks: The Greater Good. 48: Unfriended. 49: The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (IMAX). 50: Spy. 51: NT Live Encore: Coriolanus - I've tried this in various flavours but have to say I just don't think this is Bill's finest. Other better Bill tragedies of the Roman flavour exist though "prepare thy brow to frown" is a splendid line. Very imaginative staging (I'd quite like to visit the theatre used). Performances range from very good to 'I'm in Equity'. 52: Mr Holmes. 53: The Connection. 54: No Escape. 55: Son of a Gun. 56: The Woman in Black: Angel of Death. 57: Taken 3 (IMAX). 58: Solace: Mis-sold as a daft 'THEY CAN SEE THE FUTURE!!!!!' movie in the trailer this is still a daft tosh thriller but it's a rather more interesting one than I expected. It has a very very good and interesting idea it wants to play with. It doesn't quite get there but I did like that idea a lot and Hopkins is watchable as always. 59: The New Girlfriend. 60: Seventh Son. 61: Foxcatcher. 62: A Walk in the Woods. 63: Bill. 64: Minions. 65: Everest: Straightforward account of the 1996 ill-fated climbing expedition. It's perhaps not something that will stick in my memory but it's solidly put together and very watchable and does avoid some of the mis-steps films like this often make. 66: A Little Chaos. 67: Ex Machina. 68: Legend. 69: Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. 70: Tomorrowland: A World Beyond (IMAX). 71: The Transporter Refuelled. 72: American Ultra. 73: The Legend of Barney Thomson. 74: The Divergent Series: Insurgent. 75: Far From The Madding Crowd (2015). 76: Hot Pursuit. 77: Terminator: Genisys. 78: San Andreas. 79: Southpaw. 80: Self/Less. 81: John Wick. 82: The Gunman. 83: Chappie. 84: Blackhat. 85: Into The Woods. 86: Pixels. 87: Big Game. 88: The Falling. 89: Jurassic World. 90: Fantastic Four (2015). 91: Survivor. 92: Jupiter Ascending. 93: Pitch Perfect 2. 94: Trainwreck.

1. Paddington 2. The Tale of Princess Kaguya 3. Big Hero 6 4. Shaun the Sheep 5. Inside Out: 6. The Terminator (re-release) 7 Sicario -Marvelous film. Very good use of the cinematic frame (there is some very good use of space and light, and as Ralph observed - superb use of the sound mix. A well-crafted film, which has a lot of thoughtful things to say and is very smart about how it says them. Superbly disorienting in an intellectual sense - the feeling of dislocation carries through from Emily Blunt's performance to pervade other elements of the film and from there creeps into the audience. Go and see this in cinemas - not because it won't still be a powerful and effective film on the small screen, but because it is at its best in the cinematic environment, and this should be seen at its best. And yes, Benicio Del Toro is astoundingly good in it. I wonder where he's been hiding this level of nuance and subtlety in previous films I've seen him in. 8. Mad Max:Fury Road 9. Ant-Man: 10. Mission Impossible:Rogue Nation 11. Fast and Furious 7 12. Kingsman 13. Avengers: Age of Ultron 14. Terminator:Genisys 15. John Wick 16. The Gunman 17. The Hobbit 18. Jurassic World

You have 45 days to find a new partner there or you will be turned into an animal of your choice. To earn extra days in the hotel before you are transformed if you continue to be single you must go into the woods to hunt 'the loners' (who only listen to electronic music because they are loners). Utterly mental, weird, strange and stylised to an inch of its life. The very definition of an arty farty film. It got under my skin but I can see many people just not getting on with it at all! 26: Ant-Man. 27: The Gambler (2014). 28: Selma. 29: Kill The Messenger. 30: Fast and Furious 7 (IMAX). 31: The Walk. 32: Suffragette. 33: The Water Diviner. 34: Wild Card. 35: Run All Night. 36: The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya (subbed). 37: Cinderella (2015). 38: True Story. 39: Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance. 40: Kingsman: The Secret Service (IMAX). 41: Avengers: Age of Ultron. 42: Hitman: Agent 47. 43: Child 44. 44: Good Kill. 45: Project Almanac. 46: Man Up. 47: The Martian. 48: It Follows. 49: The Salvation. 50: Unbroken. 51: Spooks: The Greater Good. 52: Unfriended. 53: The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
