I always felt TM Waspinator never got released in the right colours. Black and red and gold aren't quite Waspinator. The FK TM didn't get it right for Waspinator but wins for effectively being TM Buzzsaw! A version of this in green would have been nice, as would a grey version, to make the jet Starscream and emphasise the tip of the hat that mode shows to Possession tfwiki.net/wiki/PossessionDo Digibashes or customs of either of these exist?

I just did not like the looks and sculpting of TM Rhinox. I had multiple chances with all three versions to buy it brand new, and every single time, I could not bring myself to.
Did you ever see Peewee's Big Adventure? You remember the petstore fire scene where he keeps going past the snakes while rescuing the other animals, because he can't bring himself to to touch them until the very end? That's gonna be me with this mold, and finishing off my BW collection, lol
Break, seems to go for more money than most BWNs, and it doesn't come up for sale as often. The korean version that's terrible quality kinda pollutes the market a bit, too. I don't know if it's all that rare, but I've always had lousy luck when I try to go after it.
As for the others, Nick and Andy once said they were keeping feelers out for me, but I doubt they remember. No big deal, and not worth being a bother over, if they forgot. The video guys pop up on US ebay pretty often, but nine times out of ten they're missing arms or legs. Ikard, not so much.

In fact my Korean Big Convoy has proved more durable than my Takara one which cracked a ball socket out the box! I can't recall hearing of any QC problems on the Korean versions before, or does Break have particular issues?

Most of the BW toys I have are Transmetals, partly due to being a bit late to the party but also because I love how they look.
I knew TM2 Cheetor wasn't popular, but not to that extent. I think it's actually pretty nice, one of my favourite TMs even. Nice colour scheme and details, maybe fails a bit on articulation compared to some? It's been a while, tbh, maybe there are other flaws people find but I have a generally positive impression of the toy.

Fox Kids TM Rhinox (still ugly) An absolute car crash of a recolour. Several of the FK toys give it competition but this is probably the worst. While we're mentioning FK & Rhinox..... Changing the green to red on the first FK Rhinox was an odd choice, as Green is the predominant colour on Rhinox's robot mode. However, if the they were making a radio rental off the wall repaint, they should have gone the whole hog and changed the rhino skin to black making the the toy a Diaclone Ironhide homage.

The ones you have are some of them. (I have Starscream/BB, myself. Great set) Some of the others are bootleg quality. The Break/Dead End set that I have are one of those. And they're really bad. Sonoking was really weird that way.

TM2 Cheetor is a fine mould, but the original release does it absolutely no favours. That yellow plastic was oddly cheap and KO-feeling to me. And it's basically a 'stand up' transformation with not a massive amount going on.

What Beast wars do I have? By the looks of it, less than Jetty more than most of the rest of you.
I have everything Hasbro prior to Fuzors and Transmetals* including Onyx Primal and Fractyl and Packrat. My Microverse Whale set might not be complete.
*except for the US VHS Airrazor and crab guy and since they were technically packaged as Transfmetals, shush you!
I might have all the fuzors except Botcon ones. I dont have Tigerhawk at least from the transmetals line, plus any botcon ones. Not sure about TM2, I have some, but not sure what I dont, and I still dont have any Mutants which massively annoys me.
I do have Tripredacus Agent which is one of the few TM2 I really like.
I dont have a huge amount of Takara, but do have Tako Tank, Big Convoy (plus 3, maybe 4 Ultra Mammoths), Lio Convoy, Long Rack, Horse guy, penguin guy and some of the other really odd ones including Heinlad, oh and Ravage. Oh oh oh and some of the cyberbeasts.
Other than the Niagra Falls playset and any missing cyber beasts that feels like everything I need.
Botcon/FP stuff. Onxy Primal, Packrat and Fractyl as mentioned. Botcon Japan Bearbarian and Scorponok. 2001 Tigertron and Arcee. 2005 insecticons. Complete Botcon 2006 prebeast set and the various add ons to it released later. TFSS Thrustinator (which is amazing) 2015? Packrat. 2016 prebeast set, TFSS Fractyl.
Universe Dinobot and Cheetor, Generations Rhinox, Rattrap, Waspinator. MP Primal.

The tank would probably be set aside or stored for space, anyway. Same applies to Diver. And thanks to this thread, Jonathan has offered to sell his Spittor and Clawjaw. Working out a deal now.

And thanks to this thread, Jonathan has offered to sell his Spittor and Clawjaw. Working out a deal now. And all because Phil was horrified I didn't own a Tigerhawk. My sacrifice has paid off... ;-) But just to comment on TM Rhinox... I love him. He was the first Transmetal I got because I just really liked how he looked, and how it seemed to nicely express Rhinox's angrier side. I know it's a bit ridiculous, but Rhino-tank-thing? That's the right sort of ridiculous for me. :-)

I'm pretty sure I know what BW I have ..... but while Liz and Jonathan are out this morning, I'm getting the THREE storage tubs full of BW out the library to try to confirm the count.
There's at least 1 boxed toy in the loft I can't be 100% sure of too.... I'd have got rid of it if I could, because I think it's an abomination unto man, but sadly the rest of the world did too so I think attempts to shift Battle Armour Crappy Little Elf went badly. Besides he has a much better recolour which I do have!

TMII Cybershark.
The original dlx is one of the best toys in the range, albeit an arch shelf warmer here: not the toy's fault! The remake is a disaster!

A few surprises in box 1.
Flogged all my original show characters in the retirement sale: I had BWX versions. Yet somehow I have original Dinobot (This pleased me loads), Waspinator (sans missiles) and Tarantulus - why is the gang moulding on the last two not more widely known? Not on the wiki.
Double of Airazor, sans gun.
I *DO* have video red Spittor :-)
Missing Snarl :-(
Too many Tripredicus parts.
A clear yellow missile I can't immediately identify!

Box 3: More Neo Dinobot repaints than I was expecting. I transformed Deadend back to creature mode!

It kinda really sucks that we didn't get more out of the few modern BW updates that exist.
Obvious repaints that didn't happen: • Grimlock from U2 Dinobot, complete with Autobot to Maximal faction switch • Cybershark from Gen Skybyte • Overbite/Hellscream from Gen Skybyte • Buzzsaw from Gen Waspinator (the fox kids tm waspinator decoed waruder is close enough to be a stand in, but still a really odd choice when they could have just done buzzsaw)
Those are three molds Hasbro never used again with very obvious redecoes. No one used Dinobot again, and Takara only used Skybyte once more for cloud, and only FP used Waspinator again.
Not so obvious straight repaints: • TFA style Prowl- from U2 Cheetor, decoed as a cougar • Bugly- from Gen Waspinator • E Sharkticon- from Gen Skybyte • Backstop from Gen Rhinox
Retools: • Armordillo/Bump could be retooled out of Gen Rattrap • Hippopotamus- a fairly minor retool of Rhinox could yield a passable Hippo (though that breaks the law by being a new character and we can't have that) • Ceratopsian- a significantly more extensive retool of Rhinox could yield a moderately decent ceratopsian which could pass as a Beast Wars Slag.
It irritates me that all these molds were largely abandoned after a single use.
They could have at least given us a couple bw anniversary Platinum sets with spruced up decoes, that would give people a second chance at some of these molds. • RM Optimus Primal, Gen Rattrap, Gen Rhinox, U2 Cheetor • RM Megatron, Gen Waspinator, U2 Dinobot, Legend Blackarachnia

And then I remember who we're dealing with, and am less amazed.

I get why Hasbro didn't use them in general retail, though. The new molds were too much to be sold as scouts, but way too small to be sold as deluxes. Meanwhile, Optimus and Starscream had significantly better versions coming out in the not too distant future, while Star Saber and Victory Leo were astonishingly obscure to western audiences (LioConvoy was better known at the time, even! Though that's reversed itself now) And Hasbro was also giving us their own version of Primal and Megatron at the time. (Whether they were better or worse comes down to personal opinion)
Though none of that would have been a factor if they wanted to release them in special sets, like Platinum.
