This strip was done last year and was to be featured in the Cybertronian Times at Auto Assembly, now as the print version was sadly abandoned a digital version was supposed to be released but as yet it hasn't and it's been in the can for months and seeing as how the work is mine... It's an old school Marvel UK tale and revisits the time-jumping affairs of the Autobot/Decepticon war... From a craft point of view, I knew I had a limited page count so went to the trusty nine panel grid to make sure the story could be told properly. Ta to Karl for helping with the edits. Andy

Very nice!
I can see this as being a good starting point for more fiction...

Great twist, which I've never seen suggested in fan fiction before.
Let me know if a print version is on the cards as there's a couple of apostrophe errors to fix.

Great twist, which I've never seen suggested in fan fiction before. Let me know if a print version is on the cards as there's a couple of apostrophe errors to fix. Martin It will see print at some point so highlight the errors! It was an idea that occurred to me a few years ago when I was at Karl's. We brainstormed it late at night. The post Time Wars ending seemed too neat. Especially given the framework of Time Travel established in the comics. The timeline was eradicated so they had to go somewhere. It made a horrible kind of sense that they would end up in a new timeline. I have a few ideas of what could come next, some that probably wouldn't work but we're interesting nevertheless. Andy

Andy Dornan's 'Parallel Lives' saga in the old TMUK continuity went with the option of making the new universe that the Time Wars Autobots (and Decepticons) found themselves in the same as the 'Rhythms of Darkness' one, and had multiple versions of the same character in the same universe, sometimes meeting themselves, though many were dead already. It worked well with Blurr, who found someone who spoke at the proper speed for the first time in his life (namely himself, although his head had been separated from his body) - and Rodimus Prime met Hot Rod (the latter having lost that universe's Matrix to Galvatron). There were also two Unicrons at large, the native one and the one carried in 'our' Rodimus's Matrix.
Anyway, down to business.
Page 1, panel 4, "it's" should be "its" since you're using it as a possessive not as short for "it is". Page 2, panel 2, same thing twice. Page 2, panel 5, Autobot's should be Autobots' since its the possessive plural.

A quick refresh of browsers will have corrected pages now visible!
I hadn't considered using the Rhythms of Darkness timeline, I had forgotten when Karl and I were spitballing that Andy had used that timeline. It seemed that given how violently the disturbances accelerated when Optimus and Rodimus were present with two Matrixes, that some natural law/higher power would try and ensure that any reality they found themselves in would see their counterparts jettisoned into Limbo.
Although I don't see it as Limbo, indeed I had some distinct ideas about what that realm actually is/was, although I can see why people would call it limbo, but if it were a true limbo, how did those parasites come into being?

Better - I still see one rogue apostrophe in page 1 panel 4 ("it's collapse"), perhaps there were two to begin with.
Yes, Andy's approach to the "Rhythms of Darkness" / "White Fire" timeline was that this was the future that would have happened if Galvatron had never time-travelled. Unicron's head would not have been discovered on Junkion because Wreck-Gar and co. were too busy fighting Galvatron's Decepticons, so Unicron rebuilt himself, devoured Cybertron and made Galvatron king of Earth. The sentient time-jump device Futureshock exiled the Time Wars Autobots to this alternate reality rather than return them home as an act of self-preservation when he heard Rodimus promise to destroy all his time-machines.
That story caused me some nightmares as it involved Unicron sticking his finger through the Space Bridge and skewering Metroplex on his fingernail. A scene worthy of James Roberts.

Updated the page.
I have read the story, but not in some time. I might dig it out and re-read it over the weekend, if only so I know what things to avoid doing if I revisit the Time Travel stuff.

1 - quick bump as the story has been relettered and looks the better for it, I may tweak the art for printing later this year.
2 - Shockprowl - have you made good use of this fine section of the forum?

Cheers.
Partway through pages 3 and 4.
Page 3 has a bit more substantial editing, as I need to redo two whole panels from scratch, as I could have done better with them.

Cracked the panels on page 3, much happier with the results and hopefully others will be too.
Current workflow for these edits (for those that like the sort of thing).
Dial the opacity back on the original lines and create a new layer - do rough layouts on them. New layer - do layout pencils on that. Third layer and depending on how tight my drawing is it's either final pencils, or ink prelim. New layer which will be either ink prelim or final inks and if I need to another layer and then final inks.
Of course, there is then a corrections layer shortly afterwards.
All done on the iPad Pro in Medibang Paint.

So Ultra Magnus lives? That was unclear in Marvel as he never appeared in the post-Time Wars 5-page stories. Martin Given how powerful Magnus was meant to be, I always took it that he was just severely injured. Also if he ended up dead then it would end up damaging time again. Andy
