I think it would look good - if you just saw the shadow & you'd think you where sneaking up behind him when he was facing you.

I presume Pete has some lingering anger from childhood that you couldn't, unlike the Special Team. Who hurt you, Pete? Who hurt you? -- Graham

A robot comes with a gun. It is their specific gun as detailed in their tech-specs. They hold that gun in their hand and kill things with it. The end.

Bollocks. Considering the Takara version now.
This morning is turning out to be amazing. And all sorts of expensive.

Yes. I was on the fence with Devastator because CW is getting really expensive, but those tweaks and a general improvement on the finish have me interested again. That seems to be the way to go.

I am leaning towards the Japanese release now if it has extra features and as I don't expect to see the Hasbro version locally probably won't be much more expensive to get. The extra head options has sealed the deal for me.
Phil will kindly let me know when the HLJ pre-order goes up.

I have seen them in person and they are huge it's must have, but the extra joints and presumably better paint apps mean I want takara.

They look great but the shiny shiny really ruins them. Long Haul next to Magnus is an eye opening scale comparison. He's huge! These six together will take a good chunk of shelf space.
Nice pictures.

Amazon preorder is also more expensive.

Only by $10. Plus, from a UK buyer's point of view, amazon's shipping is likely to be cheaper and you can pay the customs up front dodging the clearance fee with Parcelfarce.

Good Lord, yes, Longhaul next to Magnus is mind blowing! But too shiny by far. No no. Standard version for me I think.
You know... I never thought I'd ever see Hasbro do Devastator... and this large. Got to give them credit.

Are Hasbro accepting that as a valid form of tender? Because, you know, with what this Llama can do, that's gonna get a lot of toys. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh yeah.

I have it in my head that Devastatoris due in December but can't remember where I heard this or if it's a start or end of December thing.
I recall from previous years there's usually a big Japanese toy release on Boxing Day so ....

To be fair these days the UK importers are getting the new Takara toys at the same price as they are the US imports. In fact I think Omegalock get the Takara stuff cheaper. They made a point recently of saying it was a focus for them. I think they'll be very competitive when you factor in postage and customs.

¥ to £ is very good these days, somewhere in the region of the £1 = ¥200 of the glory days of about 10 years back.

A quick comparison based on a larger, heavier product like Trypticon - we paid £140 from Kapow, Robot Kingdom he'd be $160 plus $60 for the cheapest shipping option of parcel, which you know gets CUTA'd every time. So from Robot Kingdom he'd be £152 plus CUTA. So I can see Kapow or Omegalock being a very good option for the Takara Devastator. Especially if Amazon aren't shipping the Hasbro one outside the US, that would be the cheapest option for that version. Unless it comes out here at retail obviously.
