MP 10... The only real issue with it is lack of die cast vs the original. But maybe that's a plus point when you consider all the issues with paint chipping that plagued BT (and cost issues!) Oh and he's missing the arm communicators of MP1.
Red hazed last night and ordered a 2nd hand MP Streak. Was very tempted with Silverstreak (cannons!) or preordering Bluestreak as he looks delicious... But Sunbow style won out.
Update: And ordered non-ko Smokescreen and Red Alert. And with that, I am spent.
Update2: OK, I wasn't quite spent. Caught up now with Amazon accessories for Wheeljack, Bumblebee and Streak (possibly KOs given the price) and a KO-Ratbat. Oh - and some Dr.Wu Piledrivers for Sideswipe. The same as the Amazon ones, but with a nicer finish, no holes down the sides and DIECAST (OMG!). Ignoring the fever for the collectible coins and some Soundwave plastic boxes however.

I've had no money every time it's been available.
Runner up would be Soundwave and if I get money (IE I get the PiP so I don't need to spend my TF money on transport and care and stuff), he'll be mine later this year.

Prowl. Or maybe one of the Bluestreaks. I don't have any of the Datsuns yet, and despite my current spending madness, I've not added to that with any new MPs. (Well. Apart from a second-hand MP Starscream. But APART from that...)
Alternatively, Ratchet. BUT I'm still waiting to see if there'll be a re-issue with a comic-accurate head. And a removable hand for fuel-drainage purposes and wrist-mounted tools. But I think that's hoping a little too far...

Because I'm trying to limit my collecting to G1 reissues and Masterpiece, the Eva Prime is my holy grail. I have MP-01, so another Prime in Prime colours doesn't really make me go "I NEED". I was interested in the Year of The Horse version (i do like the gold) and would have that by now if Eva Prime didn't exist.
I think after that, either Shockwave or Hot Rodimus are my highest priorities now.
I don't own Ultra Magnus, Ironhide, Star Saber or any of the 'made up' MP's yet either. I think Star Saber is the one I'm least interested in.

Rodimus Prime. I can afford it but I've heard so many horror stories that I'm not sure I want to buy it.
I think I've got everything else that I really want, plus a few others that I didn't really want but were nice to have. And I've got 3 Starscreams (original Hasbro, MP11 Hasbro and Ghost Starscream), 2 Skywarps now that I've preordered MP11SW and 2 Sunstorms (1 Takara, 1 Hasbro). I've got the 20th and 25th anniversary Optimus Primes but theyre not strictly MPs.

I've got the two Strike Plane versions, Skywarp in the original and Starscream in the revised, and I'm happy at that. I was actually really put off by Ramjet when I saw him at TFN, he really did nothing for me.

One existing MP that I don't have that I'd like... Hmmm. There are many I'd fancy - Sunstorm, Acid Storm, Shockwave... But if I had to narrow it down to one, primary strategic target... Well, actually I have so narrowed it down a while ago.
MP-10 - probably the best toy in the line after Grimlock, but also has the level of detail, extras and specification that arguably means it fits with high-end stuff in a way that a lot of the MP line fall short of.

I'm basically on this "Only one version of a mold" trick with the MPs, but Ironhide and Ratchet threw that off.
Definitely gonna get Primal, Inferno, and Cheetor. And Megs if legit, which will lead me into needing to reaquire Soundwave and Starscream, both of which I sold on when it seemed like collecting Con MPs was going to be restricted to frickin' strike planes.
Jazz and Kup are pretty much my wish list, atm.

MP09 Rodimus. I know he's crap, I know his knees are bust, but I want him next to Magnus. I promise I won't even transform him! I've been asking in my new year wishlist on here since I joined for an Asia reissue, preferably fixed. It's about the only mould they haven't reissued now (discounting the ones that have been replaced, like the original Prime/Strike Planes).
Beyond that I'd like the '85 Planes at a sensible price. Other than that I think I've got everything I want (ie not the diaclone repaints).

For all the people wanting Rodimus, I'd say he's one to get second hand. Getting one MISB is a Russian Roulette.
I've always wanted Star Saber, but never got round to it! I'm not a huge fan of how flat he looks even though I know he's accurate, and have been holding out for a more metallic deco. They've gotta rerelease him surely!

My non existent holy grail would be MP action master Thundercracker, preferably from a new mould.
Jazz is more realistic. A purpler Shockwave too. And all MPs that have Actionmaster versions to get a release with their actionmaster partner.

I was suckered in to getting Ratchet and have been underwhelmed. Very clever engineering, but all put to the use of removing every trace of vehicle mode from the robot (except the chest). The result is a robot mode with the correct amount of plain panels to match the cartoon, but sort of the wrong shape. Worst of all Im convinced they stretched the robot mode to give it the correct scale height to the other MPs. |

Every time I see a new post on MP Optimus Primal I get a step closer to buying it. Which is unusual given my intense hatred for Beast Wars. There was probably nothing wrong with it on its own but it was the first time something I loved from my childhood had been played with to such an extreme degree and it messed me up. Honestly I've only recently got over the 'No, the only Transformers is G1 and nothing else. WHY ISNT EVERYTHING EXACTLY LIKE MY CHILDHOOD!' phase and can start to appreciate everything else for what they are. |

That's what's worried me about them from the pics I've studied AT LENGTH. The shape is all wrong, and frankly they're too tall. I was desperate for a proper really awesome Masterpiece Ratchet and Ironhide... But. I'll have to just go for it and get one, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised and like it, like Dez'. |

I love Ratchet way more than I thought I would. Conversely, it's that getting rid of all the detail to form a comic accurate toy (Aside from the head, bother) that I found so clever and amazing. I smiled for a good long time during and after transforming him. It did blow me away.
I don't think he's out of proportion, or stretched, but your perceptions may vary. I think he's maybe a tad too tall, but it's by no means anything close to a deal breaker.
Wish list... Jazz, Mirage, Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker. I am amazed that Jazz hasn't happened yet. And Jazz gives you the Stepper/Ricochet reapaint, Trailbreaker gives you Hoist and maybe whoever Botcon did the generations toy of. Mirage would probably be a one-off, there isn't even a real life car with a different deco to play with... there might have a been a red version in Diaclone though? Although a G2 Mirage would be glorious. No idea if Sunstreaker would be a one-off or not, but there was a few Diaclone versions, including a police car variant, right? Basically finish the 84/85 core cast, and ideally give us proper Dinobots. OOhhhh... Masterpiece Insecticons...
Anyway.
Outside of G1 I'd love to see Armada Hot Shot. License the Audi TT and lets have him!
