Same focus as ever for me - whatever I like the look of, is a character I like, and can afford.

Which needs a little addressing since that was true of most of the Titans Return line. Recently there was news of some of the later deluxes showing up for cheap at B&M, and I thought, great, what do I want, what do I need? And the answer was: Nothing. I've got pretty much all of the entire line. Think I'm missing three or four figures, which I might pick up now anyway just for the sake of it. But dammit, that's a scary place to be in. Mostly thanks to a combination of slightly more disposable income, and the conjunx previously living somewhere with good access to toys. But still... I may have bought too many.

So the only focus going forwards is to be sure that I actually really want a toy. But we'll see how long that lasts.

Home Bargains apparently, not B&M is the latest sighting. But it's the Krok/Quake wave again (I say 'but', I've never seen any on any shelves and my store has nada)

Good timing for the bump. I've reached the point where I need to take a step back from collecting and figure out what I want it to be. I earn enough money that I can buy everything and anything that takes my fancy but I've now reached the stage where I'm out of space to store boxes of toys, not just toys but boxes upon boxes of unopened stuff sits throughout every spare inch and I can't keep doing it. It's a waste as well as a pain. I'd say more than 50% of the collection I own hasn't been out the box and usually if I do open something it has to go straight back in because I have nowhere to put it.

So what do I do? Reasses it and maybe move toys on? Stop collecting? Keep stuff in storage until we eventually move to a bigger place?

One tactic might be to get everything out of the packaging and keep the figures in larger storage boxes that stack. I've been pretty much forced to do that with Generations now. I use the under bed storage box type height ones so the toys aren't stacked too deep in each. They're more like deep trays, but it's surprising how much they take.

I already do that. I've got 7 or 8 storage boxes that hold 80l and they're full. Im hoping to get the full day to myself in a couple of weeks time and I think I might empty the shelves, put everything into boxes then decide how it all fits from there.

I got a lot out of making sure everything was properly sorted and organised. Got everything out and repacked it so different lines were boxed together. I felt more in control.

I've reached a 'less is more' outlook. Well, reached it a couple of years ago. There have been a few regrets, but generally it's felt good to move stuff on that just sits in a box unused. But then again I'm a different collector to Pins' and Triple B. I have a nostalgic core of characters that I want modern updates of. Generations is getting pretty close enough to what I yearn for. Hence my doubts over Masterpiece.


I wonder what I'll do when I finally complete my core....

I have found in recent times that I get much more joy picking up remakes of lines that aren't G1. I've had more joy picking up BW remakes or Diaclone homages than anything else Generations-wise.

I also really like the "kiddy line" gimmick toys too and do make an effort to grab them.
