How many Mirage toys do you own? 1) 1984I've actually owned two of these. The first was from a friend, actually one of the very first TFs I ever played with. That went in the 95 purge and was eventually replaced off eBay a few years back/ 2) Robot Masters LigierA mould that was crying out for this deco and Robotmasters obliged alongside R-Blade's Hooligan as Jetfire. Shame they dropped the ball on Hoist. 3) Combiner WarsA recent edition. It's OK, but you feel if they'd made an effort it could have been loads better with a car nose chest. 4) RID SpychangerDecent Mirage. Mould has never had a full on g1 deco though. 5) Minicon6) Road Assault MiniconOK Minicons but they're both retools of pack in Swindle. Have Owned1) Machine WarsDecent toy, but the deco isn't there and too monochrome. Far, far better was to come later. (I think I've owned every version of this mould at some pt: today the aforementioned Ligier, RID Skid Z and the superb car robots oh so close to being Mirage xclear Indy heat survive. 2) Beast MachinesPossibly the best of the early BM basics. Again, it's surprising it's never had a Mirage redeco. 3) RID Mirage GTThe one BM redeco is .... interesting. Not sure what they're going for here, it's more Dragstrip than Mirage, 4) Dimension X MiniconThicko here has only just realised that this is an attempt to do a G1 Mirage Minicon! D'oh 5) Wal*Mart Cybertron MiniconToo much like Minicon Swindle. 6) EnergonRandom name reuse Mirage, this toy never jelled with with me. 7) ClassicsOne of the very, very best Classics updates. Top class toy, really wish I had one now. Could do with standard size hands, a fault it shares with Classics Rodimus, but oh well! |

OwnClassics - wonderful toy still, peak Classics for me RM Rijie - fun little toy which does look good in his original colours I would immediately buy a reissue if there ever was to be one, and am hoping for a good MP. -Jim |

There's Mirage GT in his Yellow & Black, quite near to the Yellow Landfill, which makes me think Construction Vehile colours. Mirage GT is next to his 3 pack partner Scavenger. Now Scavenger is sort of a construction vehicle but he's in blue and white, the Mirage colours. You don't think there was another olouring error here par chance? |

No I don't think there was an error. I think they intended that release of the Scavenger mould to be blue. It isn't the same Scavenger as either of the previous ones as far as I can tell, so it is just a case of '"pick a colour scheme which will look good on the mould"

I'm not a huge fan of the concept... I find it itchy....
I have always liked Scorponok and Fortress Maximus though as characters....
