The entire Rumble is Red/Blue thing. Having alternate colours buys into it. Changing the name in the west and only releasing one of the obvious colours alongside the odd one. I suspect if they'd released the blue one instead of the yellow one in the west there would have been much less demand for the yellow than there was for the blue. Ok, but in context Scrapmetal was released at a time when the main customer base the toys were aimed at were kids, not adult fans. Said kids would have had no clue (or interest) in the Rumble red/blue thing. The likes of us were a small part of the overall sales (compared to 2024). What colour was Scrapmetal in the show, ie what the kids would have seen and wanted a toy of? -Ralph |

It was all three colours, plus a one off variant.
There is a large amount of homage to the original Transformers line in Galaxy Force, and Cybertron (and the preceding lines Energon/Superlink), which Ramble is just a part of. It's use leads to Hasbro going full on with Classics next

Okay, I'm not disputing that Ramble is Rumble, but your own rules say it should say Rumble on the box, but Scrapmetal doesn't have that, nor is he red or blue. That's like saying Enemy is a Rumble, or Siege Knok, right? Don't try to get inside his head, Man. Just don't do it. |

Finally remembering to do this, after a week of training courses and in-office days that distracted me. So, Rumbles: - Masterpiece
- Fall of Cybertron (Data disc - i.e. the best one)
- War for Cybertron
And I think that's it. Although with the MP and FoC, I don't really need any more. If there were ever any in an Encore set then we might have one of those G1 reissues kicking around, but I think usually that was Frenzy. Also I'm sure we have a couple of what in the West was known as "Scrapmetal" figures kicking around. And I'll just leave that comment there and walk away from it slowly... |

OWN 1) Transformers Collection #14 I've owned a damaged 84 and another of these prior to this one. It's a nice toy but a little limited in articulation and a little fragile so doesn't come out that often. 2) Universe Legend Hound was popular in Universe 2, one of the first original Legends, which is a decent toy, and a deluxe in the space of a couple of months! 3) EZ Collection Japanese repaint which tightens up the deco a bit. 4) TF GO EZ Collection A Japanese repaint with a metalic deco that I forgot I had before I went looking for a gallery for the previous entry! 5) HFTD Black Hound Western black repaint. Oddly there's no desert repaint for Legends Hound. 6) Combiner Wars Good fun toy. The reason behind the choice of moulding for Swindle's chest becomes obvious here. 7) Siege One of the standouts of the Siege line 8) WFC repaint of the above, am never quite sure which is which! 9) Selects (SS86) Earthmode Hound! This tookm a while to get to us oiginally being scheduled for Buzzworthy Bumblebee, cancelled then resurrected in Select in a box set Have Owned 1) Universe 2 Deluxe A very, very good toy. One of the Universe 2 Deluxes I actually miss. Needed a proper gun but did have that superb Ravage with him. 2) Alternator One of the better Alternators.

Have owned: 1 other, Classics.
Never held a G1 to this day. I had Jeepers Creepers though (who I actually made a Deception, 'Jetrunner'- strange name for a jeep though).

In response to the question "How many Hounds do you own now?" You said "I have the Scrapmetal version". The Junkion Detritus is a repaint of Hound in most of his incarnations and you could say Junkions are made from scrap metal, their planet certainly is.
