I dont know about prerigged fan polls, but this toy is prerigged to be repainted as a greater variety of characters than virtually anything else I can think of. And yet, bar the Astrotrain seen upthread, so few Photoshops yet!

I've been itching to have a go at this, Blast and Sky Lynx to Magmatron, but switched to a new computer last week and dont have photoshop on it yet.

Just twigged what the colours and the bit sticking up at the back reminded me of: he's trying to be an Autobot Shuttle from The Movie! You're right! To think SP was in The Movie... all the time!

Also whats up with the robot mode pose. Looks like hes Dad dancing. Well, as he preceedes Optimus Prime (directly assuming that he is the Overlord from before the Tarn/Vos incident) then it makes sense he'd be of the right age to Dad dance. (Like me really). I can see quite a few repaints from that, but I'm not getting a Stryka vibe at all. Besides - they already have a decent mould for Stryka - just needs a new head and gun on a repaint of CW Rook and bob's your uncle. Karl.

I don't really see the movie shuttle there except for in a very very very general sense. Vector Prime seemed to be nicer than this guy. He is the least exciting Transformer in recent memory. I generally love space shuttle Transformers but by all means this is Astrotrain colored orange with a generic Prime head. They seem to have called him Prime in hopes of selling this guy...Although like another forum member said - if they made that Brave character from him - that would be great.

Orange and Red are not a particularly exciting combination (Though I DO like Fire Guts Ginrai... but I think it's the added chrome that makes it).
My main issue with Sentinel Prime is that he's clearly first and foremost the 'random recolour to get people to buy the mold before releasing it as the character its blatantly designed as' which Hasbro seem to be doing a lot more of lately. Nothing about him says 'Sentinel Prime' to me, and everything says 'Astrotrain'

Nothing about him says 'Sentinel Prime' to me, and everything says 'Astrotrain' I don't know if it makes it better or worse, but this seems like a step beyond Alpha Bravo Syndrome (or whatever it wil come to be known as). SP feels like they made an Astrotrain and a Scourge (probably) from a shared mould and SP is a hybrid they made to look as differnt form both as possible without really making it work as its own character. It probably wont be the case and I'm just going to be really underwhelmed by the straight repaint that Astrotrain will be.

That's the most orange TF since Armada Smokescreen! Ooh I dunno, Jhiaxus would beg to differ. I swear he's so orange he actually glows.

Rumours coming through the Transmissions podcast, which are turning out to be pretty accurate, have said there will be a Scourge in the range. Even though SP's ship mode is very Scourge I think it would need a fair bit of remoulding because the robot is nothing like him.

It seems to have Scourge jet mode and Astrotrain robot mode (and E Omegas train mode) depending on how it all goes together it is quite possible they have mixed the two to make SP.
Scourge would just need new head and replace those wings with wrap around things. And maybe a new chest. By current standards its not to extreme.

I love his stuff. I had the absolute pleasure of sitting next to him through a couple of panels at RORC and he is a real gent, super bloke. I was really pleased to be able to say how much I like his style.

When you look at Silverbolt and Cyclonus or even Prime and Motormaster, Astrotrain and Scourge look the most likely remoulds.

Even the brushing together of an elbow...? That we did. It was a squeeze in that room. He kept apologising profusely which lead to a most gratifying exchange of pleasantries. I just hoped he didn't think I was stalking him as I bumped into him again in the dealers rooms when he was completing the purchase of a decoy Skywarp. A man who knows what's what.

I've seen it suggested that a potential Apeface and Snapdragon could be retooled into BW TM Op & TM Megatron.
Hasbro, I have money for this idea!

Is this the usual internet 'rumour' as in 'someone makes something up and everyone else repeats it instead of checking for a source'?
