Eh?
Now if Botcon had a policy prohibiting the sale of 3P items at their con/hotel grounds I can quite understand but if this was happening elsewhere then I don't. The kind of thing where perhaps a quiet word regarding: "Would you mind not advertising an alternative event?" rather than banning could have helped. Unless that conversation did happen and TF Source ignored it, perhaps?

Botcon were big on stating a zero tolerance policy regarding 3P, although people have said add-on kits like the perfect effect stuff is being allowed. They seem to be muscle flexing.

It's their last con! Isn't it a bit late to be muscle flexing? Morons!

That's not the wisest of moves. Most events do not allow you to hand out flyers for other events there.

As far as I can tell a guy was handing out flyers for a 3p event across the road. Tfsource got the blame so were shut down this morning. The guy handing out flyers explained he had nothing to do with tfsource. He got kicked out, tfsource reopened.
Brian savage said had to were looking at getting transformers out to a wider audience something fp really haven't managed or really tried to do. Every transformers toy for nearly a decade advertised the club yet nothing has e er suggested the club has tried to target the kids who are the main target of retail tots. Last night's Hall of fame being outside and accessible to the public is the sort of thing I think has brought want.
But fp also said they are looking at what direction to go in. We might see them going to Mattel and other companies to launch clubs and conventions elsewhere.

And if I was TFSource, I'd be going after Fun Pub for that big style.
Fun Pub and Mattel - a match made in hell...

Ah, right. That makes sense. Hasbro want the club to appeal to the kids buying the toys as well as us old duffers to widen the market, hence a bigger operation they don't feel FunPub on their current reputation can manage or have shown interest in doing. I get it.

I don't know it's that exactly but they did say hasbro wanted something different or bigger (maybe international maybe not) to what fp have been doing or can do.

They should check who booked the other location room & then see any connection to tfsource.

The good downside of winning was 200 dollars prize money that I had to spend yesterday on top of trying to find more toyfu stock. With 30 mins left I was running around like an idiot looking to spend nearly 400 dollars on something worth it that would also fit in to the non existent remaining space in my suitcases. I almost spent 120 on a blue bumble jumper out of desperation.

I assume Botcon was going to close at an appointed time, thus limiting the opportunity to buy anything interesting

Bumblejumper was over priced or would already have been mine. Ended up getting the fourstar sludge ko with wings and tfss g2 starscream and the thrust repaint one. Oh and a small amount went towards a toyfu shockwave. But mostly ko flying sludge.

Oh what they really made show dollars??? It's basically just a voucher that can be used anywhere in the show. Which is fine except that if there's something I really want I buy it as soon as possible. By Sunday trying to find something that I won't be buying just for the hell of it is harder. Beyond first world problems I know.
