Those screwholes... Such an easy thing to fix. Mine should arrive today, I don't know how hopeful I am feeling.

To be fair, I think the two really ugly looking hexagonal ones must be the holes for the hose, and that is the back of the robot mode in that picture, so you probably wouldn't notice them usually. But still...

£35 quid??? ouch! How much was the figure? Did it still work out cheaper than buying from a UK retailer?

£21 VAT suggests it was £105 inc postage. So no, as I paid that from Omegalock without the £35 customs fee.

Okay, sShockwave isn't toy colours. But he is Action Master and comic colours, and this is more than enough for me.

Em, I've gone right off that. Gone off MP Shockwave or Transbridge Omegaexpress TF Lockbridge? Just Shockwave. You can't go off a name like that. In fact if they renamed it to that I'd re-buy it.

What a bizarre situation.

Yes. And transformed him to robot. I don't know what to say. If mine's here, surely yours will be too today?
He's... an official Shockwave.
I think, yes, I think Quakewave is actually laughing at him.

Okay. First impression, gut reaction - you know when you open a toy and get it in hand for the first time and have that feeling that it's 'right' and that it gives you a grin you can't actually force yourself to stop for a few minutes?
That didn't happen.
He's very spindly compared to Quakewave, and the leg transformation is all tabs and slots and lining things up, then it pings open when you try to pose it. £100 toy? no. Good toy? erg... too soon. But I put him by Quakewave with Sideswipe between them and it's Quakewave that looks like he's supposed to be there.

Genuinely I think the question in my mind is 'Do I keep him because he's the official one so I don't have a hole in my MP collection?' If these were both 3P, MP29 would already be on ebay. But then I've been anticipating that reaction so I don't know if I'm being fair. I need to think about it. But no, I'm not wooping. I don't even think this is fair on the Sunbow Shockwave. It's too lightweight.

(Yeah, where the heck is mine?! Come on, Transomega-flintlock-bridge-express!)
Sorry Pinwig. Thanks for your thoughts. Bit of a let-down this MP Shockwave business. Bit of a let-down.

I'm really interested to know everyone else's first impressions. It's entirely possible I'm just expecting too much from it. I need to open Ironhide and have a look at him, because I'm starting to worry now that the MP line is really moving a long way away from what it was with Prime/Sideswipe/Soundwave/Prowl time.

The colour is slightly off, it's just a bit too pastel for my taste. The Transformation is not exactly what you expect from masterpiece level, but I guess his alt mode is so basic that you can't really do much with it. Both modes ARE nice, no doubts there. The backpack gimmick works. But, definitely not worth £100. It's a shame, they could have done so much better just by changing the colour and adding some caps on the screw holes. 7/10, will buy a Quakeblast.

Thanks Dez'. Says it all really. The fact you want to buy a Quakeblast.
This is so sad!
