Aha, I see. Gosh those colours on the MW one are a bit bright compared to the original. That's a shame. There's potential there for some much more exciting repaints, although the holo one looks a lot better than the recent Siege one. That's a bad picture. It looks a dead on match in hand.

The problem with this hobby is the constant wondering about what might have been. That mould would have made a good Crasher in a Gobot set. They did a crasher at retail in 2007 tfwiki.net/wiki/Fracture_(Movie)#Transformers_.282007.29She was intended for Universe 2 (along with Getaway/Breakaway, and Big Daddy) but Walmart wanted more movie toys.

IIRC We missed one of those here but I don't recall which: we only got the w2 assortment which had one of the w1 toys missing.

Oh that's lovely.

I see what you mean about the 2013 Mirage, that looks really good. Fracture is amazing though. I might have to track that down one day. I see why Urzu went completist on this mould, it's really good. My lone classics Mirage is certainly the weakest colour scheme. Even the Drag Strip looks cool.

I missed a lot at this point. 2007 was a dark time for me and transformers. I think in the entire 35 year history of the line, 2006-2011 was the only point I was on the ropes. Animated kept me going, and MP, but once the movie swamped everything I gave up with everything else. Means I missed a few gems in the classics line. Looking at the releases for 2007 I reckon I bought one Transformer that year, which would have been MP5. On the flip side there would have been half a million Doctor Who toys out at that point, that was where my energies were going. When TRU got the first wave of the FoC toys in in 2012 I kicked back in again. Never completely out, but when Animated finished I was close and I remember thinking that.

IIRC We missed one of those here but I don't recall which: we only got the w2 assortment which had one of the w1 toys missing. If it was just the 3 in the case, then they all made it to ASDA. I bought Fracture and Big Daddy at the time, but left Breakaway on the pegs as I didn't like it.

Yeah, I remember seeing all three in Asda too.

Even the Drag Strip looks cool. Ive gone close to completist on a bunch of moulds but have fallen short because I never got around to picking up the Takara release. Its annoying because they tended to come out after Hasbros version and cost more so were never a priority. By the time I figured out I wanted to collect a mould the price had usually gone even further beyond what I would pay. Mirage and RTS Jazz are the main two that bother me. Henkei and Cloud Convoy are another.

Looking at the wiki, I don't recall any of them.

(Note: These aren't the GI Joe Action Force. It's a kickstarter line taking the name and trying to be Joe. No hasbro involvement)

Oh, in all the excitement I’d forgotten there was all that Drama around a new Botcon earlier this year.
Does nothing for me, and I find it a bit sad to see the good name of Action Force used like this, though I guess it was unlikely to ever officially be used again.

I didn't think about it until just now... I had assumed that Pete was throwing in with this group to produce the exclusives, much like TFcon throws in with MMC to do their non-sanctioned exclusives. But now I wonder if this new Action Force line isn't the brainchild of the former Fun Publications?

I kinda did this in concept. And if it were officially sanctioned, complete with actual names, it might actually make me really want these. A Joe/BW crossover is unique, and never been done. Everyone focuses exclusively on G1. But humans independently locating old Maxi/Pred technology? Translating old files from the wreckage of the Axalon? Maybe even finding old stasis pods and dusting off some BW molds that are beasts in 3.3/34" scale? That could actually be really fun.
Unfortunately it'll all just feel... Off. In that skeezy 3P way that their pack-in comics do. And as the defunct Funpub is behind new botcon, the whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I remember Botcon having a go at third party companies for devaluing the transformers brand
