Edited for spoiler, we have tried to avoid mentioning the name! He's been a relative regular face in the Marvel Universe. The other name I've heard rumoured is Jennifer Walters, The She Hulk

{Spoiler}I hope it's neither.
I liked Rhodey, although in recent years he has been poorly served and Jen is fantastic.
I think it might be Rhodey, just because I have a horrible feeling he might not walk out of Captain America: Civil War.

Not really, it's just so annoyingly predictable.

But how many pages are they. If they are 22 pages then someone really is trying to do over the buyers with the TPB only being $30 for 6 issues collection?

These £5.99 issues are usually bigger than usual, albeit mostly 'bonus content' that tends to be uninteresting sketches/scripts/stuff shoved in to make up a pagecount. Not a practice I'm fond of, though MTMTE 50 at least sounds like they're trying to put interesting extras in there. I do resent having to pay almost TPB price for one issue though!!

So that'll be the extra stuff you get in the TPB's anyway. But with IDW 2 issues we should be getting texts stories in the issue to fill out & these do feel like they take longer to do that strip, because you have to format it & check it.

I don't mind a $6 comic if it is the prestige format ie cardboard covers, nice paper, no ads but when Marvel try it on regular paper with ads during the story they can whistle at that price.

And this is why I haven't bought a comic that wasn't from a comixology sale since December...

Well this is why I buy my Marvel via Panivision. 3-4 US comics worth for £3.50.
I also stick with 2000ad and Judge Dredd Magazine as I get much more bang for my buck/reading time than individual US comics.
When my comics budget went down my thinking switched to: 'I will only buy what has a decent amount of reading in it'.
My last digital comic purchase was May 2015. Just couldn't afford it any more.

this is why I switched onto uk Panini rather than us, saves an absolute fortune even though it spaces stories out painfully long

If you have a tablet and don't mind being six months behind, I recommend Marvel Unlimited. Access to most of the back catalogue (including Dark Horse Star Wars now) for about £6 a month.

I have an innate dislike of the "subscription" model for digital "written" content, I am not fan of "renting" e-books an e-comics. (Actually I've spent the last few weeks working on a 3,000 word piece on Academic E-Books where the issue and its negative aspects came up). It is part of the reason I have very few Kindle e-books (that and most of my e-book collection isn't linear fiction and tends to get purchased from other legal outlets in any event).
Pannini isn't really an option for me as they only cover recent output and I'm struggling to think of anything from Marvel in recent years that has engaged my interest.
The fact that I am in the middle of the Masters course and approaching a dissertation also means that I lack what one might describe as "an income" or that much time for reading for pleasure.
If I was buying anything in print thought I suspect it would be Tooth. The Bang for Buck ratio is quite good in that.

Read the FCBD issue but really can't get enthused about this.

If you wish to stay surprised by the character death in Civil War II #3 (released only today) DO NOT LOOK AT THE ENTERTAINMENT SECTION OF THE BBC NEWS SITE.
Not only does it have a headline which states who dies, it also has a picture up of the pages in which it happens.

I am reading Civil War 2 on the Marvel Unlimited app (which lags 6 months behind). It is simulating the actual comic reader experience by not having included the free comic book day issue which apparently includes a huge chunk of the plot of issue 1, what the flying f*ck were they thinking?
I assume this event just keeps getting worse, or does it escape from the nosedive? I've heard zero about it since the launch, which can't be a good thing

I finished Civil War 2. Holy crap that was awful. It's just full of stuff no-one cares about that Marvel are desperately trying to push on people. Wow. Wow.

I'm reading via Paninivision so there's a long way to go yet, but it isn't as good as the original one. Minority Report was better But, I'm enjoying reading non-the-less.

I've just read it courtesy of a Comixology sale. The issues from the Civil War Limited Series itself that Panini have printed were the better ones IMO. Sorry.
And there's more of the same to come afterwards with Death of X and Inhumans vs X-Men
