Started collecting a couple of months ago by accident and its quickly got to the stage where I'm starting to take it serious so I'm on the lookout for a couple of things. I know I'm a newbie but can provide proof of 100% positive (345 ratings) eBay feedback.
First of all is the Hasbro version of MP Soundwave. Looking for one that's complete with all accessories. Tried the usual places but no joy yet.
FOC Sunder, Rewind, Eject and Ramhorn discs. I realise this is a long shot but in the off chance anyone wants to get rid of some ill take them.
FOC Soundblaster w/buzzsaw.
Finally if anyone has 2 Null-Ray cannons from MP Skywarp sitting doing nothing I'm looking for them as well.

Wrong thread to ask this in, but if you've just started collecting, what got you into it? And what's drawing you to the FoC style? I love it, but it isn't a lot of people's thing.
And hello!

Wrong thread to ask this in, but if you've just started collecting, what got you into it? And what's drawing you to the FoC style? I love it, but it isn't a lot of people's thing. And hello! Hello there. It was a genuine accident. I've always been mad on Transformers and have on occasion bought some small collectibles from toy shops in Glasgow, SCF Megatron, the G1 sticker collection that was reissued, Armada Optimus Prime Powermaster from early 00s. Small one offs for fun but never gave any thought to doing it seriously. It was my birthday in May and I happened to notice they had a large AOE Grimlock (I know now to be the Voyager Grimlock) in Argos that was going cheap so I joked on Facebook that if anyone wanted to get me a present they should go for that. Nobody bought me it so I thought I'd get it myself, like the stuff I've already mentioned it was intended to be a fun 1-off, and when I got it home it looked impressive on the shelf so I never opened it. I don't like much of the new movie designs, Starscream and Megatron in particular are abominations, and even though Grimlock is nowhere near as good as the G1 version he is pretty menacing. This is the part where I started collecting. He looked rather lonely so I did a big of digging to see about the rest of the AOE dinobots and ended up buying the set. And the Platinum set. (And subsequently the AOE G1 repaint set) But as I said I'm not keen on the new designs so I went to look for some G1 figures. The original G1 figures never got the look of the characters right so I was looking at the reissues that have been produced throughout the years and picked up a few things which had a more pleasing G1-true aesthetic. Maybe not right in the eyes of the TF collector purists but I refuse to pay through the nose for an original G1 issue on eBay that looks like Delia Smith when a reissue can be picked up cheaper and will actually look like the cartoon. Before I knew it I had a decent sized collection but it was all a bit random so I started trying to buy things that would make it more of a collection instead of a jumble sale. That lead me to eventually discover the MP issues and since then I've started taking it seriously, trying to even up the type of collectible I'm buying and even expand into collecting other brands like TMNT, Marvel, Nintendo, Lego and LOTR. I enjoyed the FOC game and had been looking for a reasonably priced Soundwave figure, he's my 3rd favourite Decepticon behind Megatron and Starscream but his voice was always the coolest, when I stumbled across the FOC figure. It has the right basic look with the G1 style (ish) head, shoulder cannon and the cassette deck. The body is wrong of course and he looks as though he has rickets but I do like the overall style of it. Of course I couldn't leave him on his own without Autobot Blaster. Then I had to buy the cassettes for them. Then I found FOC Grimlock which looks cool. Looked into what else there was in the FOC range but I'm not sure I'll pick any of the rest up for the moment once I finish getting Blasters cassettes, want to focus on MPs and G1 styles first. The designs are good, they were forced to modernise them and make them completely different with it being on Cybertron but still try to make the characters look like G1. The characters we love but updated slightly. There's a lot of attempts at doing that which has failed miserably but I think the FOC designs works. Then that lead me look at what the Generations/Universe/Classics/Thrilling 30 lines were. And you know how the rest goes. I now have a small museum in what used to be my man cave.

Thanks you, much appreciated. I think I'll pay a bit extra and get the Western version so that it matches the rest. $50 isn't bad, cheaper than ebay anyway.

Excellent tale! I'm extremely pleased to hear someone being positive about FoC Grimlock because I'm on my own with that among this lot. I love him. See! I'm not alone! Transformer collecting is an exciting but potentially expensive hobby. They don't call it plastic crack for nothing

Assuming you escape customs! I forget what the value limit is nowadays. £15, but experimental evidence shows there's one method of Robotkingdom shipping that generally dodges CUTA and one that get you a red hot poker. tmukhub.proboards.com/post/202528/threadSorry didn't see this: Out of curiosity, which postage method did you use? Registered Air Mail Small Packet - Registered Air Mail, same as my Generations Legions (I have them and the rest of you haven't) which also escaped the red hot poker. By comparison my two larger orders sent by EMS hurt my bottom. So Registered Air Mail Small Packet - Registered Air Mail = good EMS = bad

Absolutely. I've never been customed on a Robot Kingdom package sent by Air Mail Small Packet.

Thanks guys. Sorted. 3 months trawling the Internet for nothing. A few hours on here and I'm sorted.
Well apart from Soundwave MP but I'm sure that'll come.

It's developed into a very expensive habit, I can currently afford it but not sure how long I can maintain that.

Phil today is a good man. FoC Grimlock is a prime candidate for third party upgrades. Can I wheel out my self indulgent upgrade photos again? This is what he looks like with a few addons:
