I'm starting to like this more and more. And it's kind of a shame that the western market is no longer capable of supporting a mass release of what is essentially a $45 accessory.
But I'm sure that's the reason behind Ginrai remold in the box sets.

Sorry, Phil, I don't recall seeing God Ginrai ever use a sword in Masterforce. But I could be wrong.
Perhaps in Victory, which I have a hazier memory of?

I do wonder about Takara Tomy's PR at times.... Lots of pics of this recently, but there's a mainline Legends release out before it that's had no pictures for months! I think it's safe to say that situation has been rectified... |

The thin sword seen in several pictures (including he one you quoted) comes with Godbomber, and stores under his cannon. Apparently GodGinrai uses one in Masterforce (Martin?) at some pt. The bigger chrome sword seen in one pictures comes with a Last Knight Prime toy. Ah, thanks! I knew that the machine GodGinrai had a sword in Victory, but I wasn't sure whether it was something they'd just put in the pictures for effect or whether one of the two toys actually came with it. Ta muchly. (I recognised the broad-bladed sword from the TLK toy. Not actually seen quite as good a photo of it before though - a lot less functional looking, has a definite "parade sword" vibe to it.) Karl |
