It's more the cab. I really dislike the look - and Hasbro are uaually so good at cabs! Maybe it'll look better in person.

I think it is ok. There is some nice stuff about it, but I'm not a fan of all the kibble stuck on the humanoid form's chest like that. It looks a bit..eh.
Decent toy, but I don't think it is quite up to being a replacement for my God Ginrai. I think I shall stick with that.

I honestly don't see a reason the cab needed to be changed.
It was the one thing that could have stayed the same.
And in changing it, it needed to be less exaggerated, not more.

I was just thinking to myself I never found Ultra Magnus cab to be that ugly. Didnt realise it was remoulded. What were they thinking?
Have we seen the Takara version yet?
I feel like the Hasbro version is lacking in some silver/chrome so an improved deco would push me towards Takara.

To let everyone know, there are no images. I thought it wasn't loading because twitter and facebook are morinic ways to show photo galleries, and it was broken.
But there are no pictures.
TFW says it will feature hands, cab, chest, and feet remolding for accuracy.

Given the differences between original PM Prime and Super Ginrai it's somewhat appropriate that there's significant differences between the Titans Return and Legends versions.

Comparing that side by side with the Hasbro one it does look much more streamlined. The cab is much better. I think in terms of my own display I want the CW voyager Prime as Prime to match Galvatron for height, so this can be a Takara purchase as a one off.
The fact they've gone as far as remoulding the feet does suggest that is to add connectors for a future Godbomber.

Okay, I like the changes in vehicle mode. The cab looks so much better. And does not look like it splits open the way magnus/optimus do. Not sure what that implies yet.
But the changes to the robot mode aren't doing it any favores, honestly.

I wasnt totally sold on the TR Primes robot mode, Im still not totally sold on the Legends one, but its a little closer to G1 and vehicle mode looks so much better.

Huh. I... actually prefer Hasbro's angry, silly cab. Because... it's angry and silly. And the chest remold isn't actually that excitingly different. I might actually stick with Hasbro on this one.
