There wasn't but they did repaint an existing mold for Skateboardy Prime. It's a shame. I was enjoying the 'this year's super big mold gets blinged up a bit' that they'd been doing for the past few years. I guess SDCC Max did badly across the board last year! You can still get it for £100 in my local A1 Toys store. |

I played with Phil's Japanese one. Fun sound box. Robot is great, space battleship mode is ok, city mode is...not good. A shame as the city mode on the original Max mould is utterly fabulous.
I still like TR Fort Max (good robot) but I will wait and see if A1 drops the price further...

Following on from my earlier price digging with Encore God Fire Convoy, I've been and looked at the Japanese prices for Grand Max and Greatshot. Annoyingly they don't have Fort's entry still up. So the Grand version is the same price with an extra bit. It's terms of what it will likely cost us..... xe.com reckons ￥27,000 is 182.78. No discount because it's an exclusive so they'll have to go through TTMall to get them. Shipping & customs.... £230, £240? Interestingly the Metroplex reissue, also a TTMall exclusive also ￥27,000 is £225 at Kapow www.kapowtoys.co.uk/transformers-legends-lg-ex-metroplex-reissue.html Expensive, but comforting to know my guess doesn't look too wrong.
