The black and gold figure is the recent non transforming toy of Black Zarak that came out. That being the Japanese repaint of Scorponok that featured in the Masterforce cartoon.
The odd head on Max is Megabolt Megatron. An unreleased Beast Machines toy that was eventually released in the RiD line. The point being that Megatron had become a head so he could take control of Fort Max.

Yeah that's pretty much it. In Beast Machines Megatron ends up turning into a giant head. Because of course he does. There's no canon example of him merging with Max, but it makes sense. As much as any of this does.

See the randomly parked Blaster pic in there? Oh no it isn't! The new piece behind the leg has a base mode connector on the inner side of the leg which ends up behind the base mode. |

There's a stand here with the SDCC sets on display. Fort Max takes the breath even more than Metroplex did. He's got bulk as well as height.

I can see Takara either releasing a head pack, doing single-packed heads, or releasing a 'Fortress' separately with either an alternate colour scheme, or with the anime and sunbow heads
