Huh. I wasn't actually interested in Blaster, but he actually looks really nice in those pictures. Still not sure about boombox mode, but robot mode is certainly nice.

I think the tape deck would look a lot better if the handle was smaller or folded backwards. It makes it look a bit awkward. Without that sticking up the proportions would work better. Not complaining though, and I'm so glad he has a toy head rather than a toon one. I wonder what Takara will do about that given they've redone the Headmasters' faces. I'm more excited about this one than I am PowerPrime.

By "working" you mean storage space? Yes, the tape deck opens. Inside is a diagonally mounted tray, higher at the front, descending into his backside, that a tape, or the black gun station thing on his base mode, can slot into. Here's a shot of the US version holding Buzzsaw from NYCC 2015  That's one of Steeljaw's shorter sides towards us so they're fitting in at 90 degrees to how how the tapes usually do. I dunno. I like it, it looks less cheap, but it also doesn't look quite right for Blaster. A little conflicted.

I think that covers it exactly. The Takara looks more striking, but the Hasbro colours are more G1 toy accurate.

There was that alternative face that turned up on ebay recently. I recall one of the podcasts suggesting that could be for a Twincast repaint. Nothing to prove that though, we know loads of unused heads turn up on the sprues.

I bet we'll see a proper Takara Twincast. Oh yeah. Next years Legends convention exclusive for sure: Twincast with Rosanna and Soundblaster with  ? But would Twincast have a red or blue Titanmaster? The US Titanmaster is supposedly called Twincast, but red, whereas the Japanese one is blue |

CombiWars dude. I just spotted him up there, while scrolling down and he looks okay. Not been a fan of these tapes, with the wierd chunky alt mode/battle mode, but he looks like a fun lion.
