I'm reaching the point where I think 'I own MP Soundwave, why would I ever need to buy another one?' Certainly not a tape deck version of him.
Ah well, chalk this as 'not for me' and move on, I guess.

Yes,definitely not got enough little men yet. Phil needs all the little men in lots of different colours.
Some silliness is bound to happen before this line is over.

Phil, can you check your Blaster in tape deck mode. The Internet says it has moulded in slots for a USB port.

It does, a USB slot and, IIRC, a headphone socket too. It even has the symbols moulded into the plastic! The "tapes" of course all have a headphone socket.

On the other side there's a flattened power socket and power button.

I will now never refer to Soundwave's base mode by any other name

Now you mention it, the middle top panel does look like a floating DJ deck.

Blaster's gun sheared halfway down the handle as I was removing it to take those photos :-(

I've seen Blaster in Forbidden Planet at £50. Is he worth it, he looks a bit basic and crap?

He's not £50 good.

As the Leaders go he's second best behind Magnus.
As a toy he's really fun. He does something, he's big and chunky, he interacts with other toys.
I know I'm destined to buy him at least twice more as the inevitable Broadcast and Soundblaster repaints.
