Just seen the cover up for TF G #13 - nice wrap around cover. This is the 2nd UK event IDW cover since Hasbro put that ban on stopping UK events getting covers for events. So could that mean TFNation could find this loophole - unless it was just a ban on AA getting covers while all others events could get covers (London comic con, lots US events)

The RORC is one shared half and half with a retailer, so maybe that's how.

Dunno about any bans, but as far as I'm aware the variants are usually done via a Diamond account holder, so any convention would have to find a willing retailer to purchase the variants on their behalf.

So could that mean TFNation could find this loophole - unless it was just a ban on AA getting covers while all others events could get covers (London comic con, lots US events) There has never been a ban? Someone has to stump up the money and it is not cheap, that is the real challenge. Previous AA ones were actually paid for by a retailer, not AA themselves. If no one was prepared to fund it, it didn't happen. The RORC is one shared half and half with a retailer, so maybe that's how. Roll Out Roll Call and Discount Comic Book Service have split the costs directly of the print run getting half each. Roll Out Roll Call paid for the artwork and the colouring. By approaching it this way has made it viable, but I hope everyone likes it

I'm still deciding if I'll come along to this. I could check the Birmingham comic mart the day before then stop in hotel midway down. Are the guests there both days? Just hope that parking doesn't gte limited - what other events have happened at this place? (at least this year it is easy to get to than south coast one)

I'm still deciding if I'll come along to this. I could check the Birmingham comic mart the day before then stop in hotel midway down. Are the guests there both days? Just hope that parking doesn't gte limited - what other events have happened at this place? (at least this year it is easy to get to than south coast one) Hi there, guests are indeed there both days. There is parking on site for up to 650 spaces. In terms of other events, the hotel itself is a convention hotel, always playing host to events throughout the week and weekend, however related to this area of pop culture, most StarFury events are held there throughout the year and also used by Showmasters for many of their TV/ Film conventions like Chevron. Roll Out Roll Call will take place across three rooms. With respect to the exhibitors and traders, The Commonwealth Suite is the largest in the hotel, here you will find many traders including The Spacebridge, Toy-fu, In Demand Toys, Kapow Toys LTD, A1 Toys, All The Cool Stuff and many more. There will also be a fan community area for various contributors to the brands we love, from events like TFNation, to websites like Transformers at the Moon, to forums like Transmasters UK (TMUK), Podcasts, Youtube, Fanzines and much more: Most of the presentations and panels will take place in The Royal Suite, the panel programme, which will be released closer to the event, but to give you an idea, they will include Q&A interviews with our guests and contributors from within the fan community sharing their experience and knowledge for all: Lastly The Atrium will connect both the rooms together, here you will meet the guests as well as some additional sponsors and exhibitors: If you have not thought about doing so yet, take advantage of the room discounts we have available at the hotel and stay Friday through to Monday: A limited number of hotel reservations are available at substantial discounts for Roll Out Roll Call attendees. £68.00 single occupancy (reduced from £180.00) £78.00 double occupancy (reduced from £200.00) £88.00 triple occupancy (reduced from £220.00) £5.00 per 24 hour parking (reduced from £15.00) Head to: www.radissonblu-edwardian.com/allthecoolstuffEarly reservation booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment. I hope this helps
