Welcome back Dave! Raloh is correct, there will be a lot of speculation on the behind the scenes stuff, there is always is. I'm sorry you feel folks have been overly critical, I certainly don't think that's anyone's intention - gossiping like old fishwives absolutely. I do agree with you the best element of any convention is the social aspect of it, AA, Transforce etc it's all been at the bar chatting afterwards or inbetween are where the really great moments have been. TFN (and certain members of AA) are absolutely greatful for your willingingness to champion other events and of course the lengths you've gone to, it certainly hasn't gone unnoticed by me, and I'm always happy to sing the praises of RORC, and if only my bloody work would confirm my holidays I'll be able to say for definite i can go this year! Hope you check in from time to time as I am sure there will be more than a few questions. Andy Thank you, I hope work comes back as would love you to pop the RORC cherry Folks, feel free to fire away with any questions, I'll answer where possible

Would it be terribly rude of me to post before hitting the intro' threads? It would wouldn't it? I'm terribly rude aren't I? I'm sure we'll live. Hi! I'm Billy. I'm one of the TFNation crew. I stumbled across this thread today and whilst I don't feel I *need* to contribute, I felt it might be helpful to briefly note some of my / TFN's views on this summer's conventions. I'll be as brief as I can. 1. We love RORC. Dave has always been super helpful and accommodating of us and is aways the first to give us advice in our freshman year. If we can run a convention half as well as he does, we'll have done a fine job indeed. He gives great hugs too. For a southerner. 2. At the risk of sounding suck uppy, he's probably done more for the UK community than anybody else I can name instantly and without dry humour. The idea of a UK con having official exclusives has hitherto been unthinkable. Having climbed the mountain on everybody's behalf, I hope the fanbase gives him as much support as possible. I honestly have no idea where exclusives will be sold - but I know they'll be at RORC. That's where I'll be buying mine! 3. I've been asked about "con competition" a few times and this seems a good platform to give my views. I see no competition and will keep promoting RORC whenever I can. The gap between RORC and TFN is no different to that between RORC and AA, it's just RORC now has an earlier date. If anything I feel sort of fortunate that we have the later date as people will already be friends having met at RORC, which can only be a good thing for our late night drinkers. In the circus that is convention land there are a million variables which cause us to choose various dates / locations, so please don't read too much into it. So as much as I'd love folks to come to TFN, my bigger hope is that folks just go to a convention - either convention, or preferably both. It's a great community and we want to see it grow and flourish. Billy Those are very kind words Billy, but as you posted here before the intro threads, they are null and void as you're terribly rude, I mean who would do that???

What is the 'Transformers item'? -Ralph I posted this up on the facebook page event section this morning: www.facebook.com/events/894068504042765/"Hey all, glad to see all the excitement for the announced Ticket Options. A few questions have come in relating to the Limited Edition Energon, International Hero and Crossover Tickets. We really wanted to provide you a special treat this year, one for Transformers fans, one for G.I. Joe fans and one for fans of both. If you have been to Roll Out Roll Call for last couple of events, you may have seen we have worked hard to provide an opportunity to access items not normally available outside the United States. For 2016 there is an amazing line up which will be available to Energon, International Hero and Crossover Ticket Holders. The item included within the ticket price will not be available for purchase at the show, it is a unique item ONLY available to those who buy the corrosponding Energon, International Hero or Crossover Ticket, it will be the only way you can access this cool item. All other items available for purchase are different, but each ticket holder has the option to purchase 1 of each other item that relates to Energon, International Hero or Crossover Tickets. All will be revealed as we head towards the show, but if you have been happy with what Roll Out Roll Call has been able to do for Transformers and G.I. Joe fans before, you will go insane as to what we have this year " Typically some of the exclusives. Last year's Subscription figures would be a fair bet, possibly even selected items from this year's Botcon. I'd consider it 'TBA'. Oh they're confirmed, the quantity and the pricing, but we don't have authorization for the release of details at this moment, watch this space

Sorry I'm still unclear what this Transformers or GI Joe item is. Saying it is "cool" is not terribly unhelpful. I'm considering giving this con a go but I'm on a tight budget and disinclined to pay an extra £30 when I don't know what I'm buying. Many thanks for taking the time to read this. Take this not as an angry anonymous keyboard warrior, but merely an interested fellow with one eyebrow curiously raised in a Roger Moore-like manner. -Ralph

Sorry I'm still unclear what this Transformers or GI Joe item is. Saying it is "cool" is not terribly unhelpful. As I mentioned above, all will be revealed shortly as I am not authorized to disclose what they are at this moment in time, I'm sorry that is vague right now, but it won't be vague indefinitely I'm considering giving this con a go but I'm on a tight budget and disinclined to pay an extra £30 when I don't know what I'm buying. Many thanks for taking the time to read this. Then the 'Upgrade' would be your friend. Once full details are revealed it is anticipated that the demand will go through the roof and many people who have purchased the General Weekend Ticket will want to change and secure one of the Limited Edition Energon, International Hero or Crossover Tickets, hence the 'Upgrade' facility Take this not as an angry anonymous keyboard warrior, but merely an interested fellow with one eyebrow curiously raised in a Roger Moore-like manner. -Ralph Not a problem at all, if you are not familiar with what we do, I can understand the skepticism, but given our track record in creating or procuring items, not only within Transformers and G.I. Joe but many other brands from Star Wars to Masters Of The Universe, this is something to be excited, discuss and anticipate for, not the other way round Dave.

The Upgrade option will be available as long as there are availability with the Energon, International Hero and Crossover AND you have purchased a General Weekend Ticket. This gives everyone the greatest flexibility and option available

The description "Transformers Item" is rather vague. Could be a pair of y-fronts for all we know. At least purchasing one is not compulsory for entrance.

I wouldn't call the prices jacked up per se. Percy.
You have to cover the cost of renting the centre, which aint cheap. All the promo work. All the guests etc etc. I doubt too much profit exists in setting these cons up yet.
And yes, it would be nice to know what sort of exclusives we can get, that's usually revealed well before the show and sadly, NDA's usually cover these for a while

Yeah, that's a little too aggressive a post for my tastes. RORC is a great show that cares deeply about the community, and when they say they have something to be excited about it's always true.

I probably would be excited by some Transformers pants, to be fair. Especially if they were boxers.
I cannot afford to go to more than one Con a year, sadly, but I don't blame that on the Cons themselves being too pricey. It's just where my life is at. Conventions are a luxury, and if I cannot afford it, then tough.

I would say it's priced quite low for a weekend con. The average UK con weekend ticket for a lot of shows can be around £80-100.

Don't ever get into autograph collecting, from what I see there, you'll never know money ever again
