Similar question to this - in terms of TFUK - do we count Inferno as a Wrecker? No. Inferno was an Autobot on the Ark who showed up in 'Decepticon Dambusters' before contact with Cybertron was re-established. Like Red Alert, who appeared in 'The Enemy Within', they never gave him a proper intro story or showed us where he was most of the time. Probably off on missions somewhere. Inferno also appeared in the text story 'Missing in Action' in the first annual. I always figured that in 'Firebug' he was welcoming Broadside and Sandstorm to Earth, and showing them the ropes, though 'Cold Comfort and Joy' wasn't his finest hour. Martin

No. He fought alongside them for a spell but he isn't a Wrecker.

I like to think Inferno was transferred to the Wreckers, when they first turned up on Earth. He's got the personality for it, at least under Springers more restrained leadership. He certainly counts as one by the time of Survivors.
Springer and/or Xarron wants an Autobot with Wrecker tendencies, but Earth experience. Prime sends them Inferno.

But his function is search & rescue and he carries an extinguisher rifle. He's not an assassin.
When Springer and Broadside become Survivors they cease to be Wreckers - they change their careers from Autobot hit squad to saving humans.

The Wreckers under Springer are a bunch of special ops nutcases. Inferno is a hothead who'd much rather be in the action, causing fires than stopping them. He chafes against his function, if I remember his profile right.
I do think the intent was that he was a Wrecker, he just joined from the Ark because the OG Wreckers fouled up so badly the first time they went in without their Earth specialist (Ultra Magnus).
Where did Magnus get to anyway? He was late in getting back for the first assault on Galvatron, but he should have made it back to Autobot HQ by the time of Time Wars...

Well, hopefully we can all agree that Skids the pacifist, although a Survivor, is no Wrecker.

The Wreckers under Springer are a bunch of special ops nutcases. To be fair, from 'Wrecking Havoc' to 'Firebug' to 'Survivors' to Earthforce, whenever they're on Earth, they do their very best to save human lives. Martin

Inferno is not a Wrecker. He is part of a surveillance unit that had two Wreckers seconded to it.
Skids is no Wrecker either.

As usual because it's Christmas I'm reading the TFUK annual for 30 years ago. This one (Jazz cover) has updated bios for the classics toys. Inferno's states he is a Wrecker. Irrefutable proof! You can't argue with official TFUK publications!
