Not purple. More pink with spots, which is... Worrying. But then on the other hand it is a step up from a yogurt pot. With or without spots.

If you have XCOM 2 and want to add them to your game:

Download the Character Pool file here: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5510595/TMUK.bin
Put the file here: Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\CharacterPool\Importable

Apparently there's a tweak you can make where it will pull all your character pool guys first rather than mix them in with randoms. Someone posted some instructions here but I've not tried it yet (remember to back up your .ini if you do tweak it! www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/comments/44amoz/that_file_tweak_for_the_character_pool/czowhu6

Let's put it this way. According to Steam I've played the game for 26 hours so far this weekend. About a quarter of that was on the actual game. The rest was spent on Soldier Dress-Up Simulator.

Remember to install the TMUK squad pack! There's a mod in the Steam workshop which forces the game to use all the character pool characters and then random guys rather than sprinkling them in.

You can actually add characters so they'll only show up as VIPs for extraction/rescue missions.

You can also add an option for it to select them as 'Dark VIPs' meaning they could be a traitor and XCOM would have to go and 'rescue' them for a 'chat'.

The original attempt to liberate Earth was thwarted on a mission where every single soldier died to the same snake woman who killed everyone on the same square by crushing them and then killing the soldiers I sent in one by one to rescue them so that there was a little pile of bodies at her feet. It was embarrassing.

Since then, command has played through the game on 'easy' mode to actually work out what's going on.

Pretty much as it stands, as I went and bought a farming simulator game and so am currently farming melons. Fear not for we shall rise again!


And on that note, does any forum regular want a free copy of the 2012 XCOM: Enemy Unknown? I have a spare Steam key. All you need is a PC (and Steam, which is free, and frankly you should have anyway!)
