Who has the coolest acting CV in terms of the awesomeness of the pre-existing characters that they've played?
The rules for this thread are that it doesn't matter how well or badly they acted, or how good or bad the film was, and new characters don't count. So Harrison Ford gets no credit here for having been Han Solo and Indiana Jones and a fictional American President who singlehandedly defeated a plane-full of terrorists, but an actor who played both Batman and James Bond would be scoring high.
I'll start with a few obvious ones.
Sean Connery - James Bond, King Arthur, Allan Quatermain, Robin Hood, King Agamemnon, King Richard the Lionheart... can anyone beat that kind of line-up in a pub bragging contest?
Ian McKellen has played on screen Sherlock Holmes, Gandalf, Magneto and pretty much every major role in Shakespeare. Does that trump Connery's team?
But there are obscure/younger actors who have quickly accumulated an impressive CV of big hitters. Luke Evans (who? exactly, I had to look up the guy's name on IMDB) can say he's been Dracula, Bard the Dragon-slayer, Aramis the Musketeer and Apollo the Greek God. Not a bad start to impress your kids' mates with.
What would be your dream team of top tier legendary names, and has any one person played all of them on film?

I repeat the question: Who has the coolest acting CV in terms of the awesomeness of the pre-existing characters that they've played?
Phil sort of gets it - except Captain Rum and Wyvern don't count as I think they were new characters.

You must have known who Luke Evans is from playing Bard in the Hobbit films! He also plays Zeus in the film Immortals (according to wikipedia).

I hadn't registered the name of the chap who played Bard, he was just some bloke. But two Olympian gods, a Musketeer, Dracula and Bard isn't a bad CV. Jetty, I fear you still don't quite get it. This is about glory reflected on the actor by characters being awesome already before they played them. Mark Hamill playing himself and Luke Skywalker counts for nothing because they were nobody prior to him playing them. I know it's a stupid thread with stupid rules, but that's what they are. Ooh, Christian Bale is a good one, James. Batman, Moses and Jesus! Martin

You're right. It makes zero sense to me. So I'll just stop messing it up and be gone

Richard Burbage. Got to play many of the leading parts in Shakespeare's plays when they were brand new and before anyone else (and probably written with him in mind when the parts were created). He wins.*
-Ralph
*Played reworked versions of pre-existing characters from older plays etc that were raided by Shakespeare for his stuff ie the original King Leir which becomes his King Lear etc.
