I think he is trying to say that it is amazing that Op's earlier name related so closely to his later role. Almost as if someone... intended it...

I've known it for years, it slipped to the back of the mind (Orion = Hunter, Pax = Peace)
I was reminded it of it this morning by a conversation I read on the 2005 boards trying to name the smaller robot with POTP Nemesis Prime. Someone suggested Nemesis Pax, which is loosely Enemey of Peace, which isn't bad. That reminded me of the Orion Pax definition which led me to wonder if you'd heard it.

It is sort of, just involving Latin. Considering the Hunter/Seeker of Peace becomes the good robot's leader.

It is allowed!
The concept of the thread was for word play joke names. I used pun as shorthand because most of them are.
But since this bothers Doc so much, I change the thread title to something less fun.

So Spanner came up in the poll thread, and it reminded me of one of my favourites that I don't think has come up in this thread - Spanner becomes the Space Bridge; bridges span distances; Spanner now literally spans.
It's a great name for an engineer that turns into a bridge.

Now that I've seen Prime, I do like how Bulkhead shortens it to "Jackie".

I feel we need to explain all the pun names to Ralph. Is there any he's put together? He figured out Fangry- On a walk earlier it suddenly occured to me that Fangry is a pun name. Fang + Angry = Fangry. Only took me 30 years to work it out. -Ralph

Really??? -Ralph You use them to change a tire in an emegency. They're called a couple different things, but a wheel jack is one such name. Because it's a jack to change the wheel.

There is no such thing. Ratchet is named after Nurse Ratchet from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, as is well known.
