Not with Trypticon out the same year surely.
Having said that current leader class toys might just be too small.
Return of the supreme class?

I'm assuming he won't be THAT big due to the inevitable Blitzwing remold. And maybe Flywheels.

Flywheels and or Blitzwing is already happening.

Hmm not sure if thats one of those things I'm not meant to share.
But TR Megatron is a fairly obvious mould for both/either.

Those two names have been in the rumorsphere for a while now. Blitz from megs, and flywheels I think is a revealed titanmaster

So it seems Black Shadow is an overlord retool. I can't remember if I called that or not.
Can't tell if he's a quad-changer, or if he splits apart into two vehicles.

Looks to me like he splits - unless there's some VERY clever hiding of kibble going on in the tank and plane modes.

Can't tell if he's a quad-changer, or if he splits apart into two vehicles. The latter I think. Can't see any jet in the tank and vice versa. If they've done Black Shadow they have to redo as Thunderwing don't they?

They need too. And he needs to be extra marvelicious to go with Marvilimus Pri-...err, I mean TR Powermaster Optimus Prime.

So it seems Black Shadow is an overlord retool. I can't remember if I called that or not. Effectively, yes I swear if Skyshadow is anither repaint of Jetfire/Starscream, or is a same-wave repaint of Overlord, I will scream. Armada megs being same wave as G1 megs was a mistake. Seekers were a disaster.

As long as he and overlord aren't in the same wave, repeating the Megadisaster, I won't scream. As is, Blaster and Soundwave being back to back was not one of their more intelligent ideas. Though better than three consecutive waves of Jetfire Seekers.

Does Sky Shadow/Overlord have two Titanmasters?

I would not use a hasbro toy display as any reliable indication, as they often use multiple duplicates in their displays to show "how much fun these are with moar titanmasters!" It's certainly plausible that Overlord might cone with two titanmasters since his big defining feature was two powermasters. But in this, they could easily used the titanmaster from the vehicle mode to boost the display.
Edit: Oh no, wait. The vehicle mode tm is on the tank.
Still think this is just a duplicate for display, though.

Here's their computer listings leak from a few months back news.tfw2005.com/2016/09/08/rumor-titans-return-leader-class-overlord-sky-shadow-324573Product numbers for new toys in the same case TEND to be quite similar so the suggestion here is not in the same case. Reading these numbers is a bit of an arcane art but we've got a few at the moment which suggest the ones beginning with 1 are 2017 Wave 2 (Feb) and those with 2 are 2016 Wave 3 (May)

So it seems Black Shadow is an overlord retool. I can't remember if I called that or not. Can't tell if he's a quad-changer, or if he splits apart into two vehicles. From the release order implied by the fact that we're seeing Blackshadow and not Overlord first I'd have assumed that it was more the other way around - that they'd designed Blackshadow to be able to be retooled into Overlord. Really nice looking mold, looks like a fun toy (not convinced about the base mode, although it does remind me a little bit of Sonic Bomber's...collection-of-parts mode). Probably more tempted by it as Blackshadow than I would be as Overlord I think. Karl

It seems to be a new trend, in fact people now seem to be calling it a 'pre-tool' as opposed to retool. Hasbro seem to think they can fool us all into buying figures but then release clearly what the mould is intended to be second. Like Sentinel/Astrotrain, Optimus/Octane, Megatron/Blitzwing and now we're seeing Trion was probably always meant to be Leo Convoy, even if that paint job doesn't come out in the US. I think the Black Shadow/Overlord is the same. They probably get more sales by releasing the more desirable figure from the mould second.

What's the point of the bit under the jet nose? It just hangs there under the nose or forms a lump on the back of the gun in robot mode, which means it is removable.

It emulates how Thunderwing combined with his shell while both in jet mode. Thus the Black Shadow retool as well.
Gen Thunderwing/Skyshadow emulated the exact same thing, too.
