You mean a Champions name reuse.
Not a revival, as there are no members of the Champions in said book.

Actually picked up Champions issue 1. It's pretty good, heroes being heroes.
You will hate it Ralph as it has your fave Humberto Ramos on art.

That's interesting. Last time Marvel tried to relaunch The Champions they had to rename it because another company had the trademark rights. I wonder if that has lapsed now?

They have come to an accord with the company that have it.
Both get to use it.

Ah! That makes sense. The other company appeared to have lapsed back into its semi-dormant state as far as I could tell (not uncommon in its history it seems) and so I wondered if they had finally "failed to defend" or something.

Not those issues.
The Axis tie in is superb, a Valeria/Doom story almost completely unrelated to the ongoing title. EDIT: This is in Volume 3
The Before Time Runs Out story that finishes the title is good, fills in some of the blanks in the missing eight months of the Avengers lives.
That's not in the sale though.
I would recommend Superior Foes Of Spider Man, that got run in Panini's ASM and was superb.

It is, especially given the great work Paul Cornell did in the couple of years in the run up setting it up, which was very nearly a great Wolverine story*
Soule's story, which given what it was should have been huge, was just a bit bleurgh randomly reheating bits of Wolverine's history. It's a shame because he can write good comics as his She Hulk run, which was superb, shows.
I've made the point before, but to this day I can't tell why Cornell wasn't used and it's telling he's not worked for Marvel since.
* Good Wolverine solo stories are very hard to write. I've read a lot of them and gone long periods without reading Wolverine solo books too. The original Claremont/Miller limited series was EXCELLENT. Kitty Pryde/Wolverine is OK but would be looked on better if it had a decent artist cos Milgrom ain't a good fit. Spiderman/Wolverine is fab. Marvel Comics Presents & the initial Wolverine solo stories weren't good, can't stand the patch stuff and the Wolverine title only got good when the X-Men were involved and Hama/Silvestri came on board before tailing off during the 90s. Beyond that .... Some of the short 2/3 part Wolverine team ups in MCP are fun if not astounding. Weapon X is great. I love Enemy of the State/Agent of Shield, superb. Origins Limited Series is great, Origins II isn't and the less said about the Way Origins the better! Wolverine Civil War is surprisingly good, and tackles a storyline ignored in the main title.

Cornell was asked to do it and declined so Soule got the gig instead.
I thought there was a good story in there but it doesn't quite work.
