Reacharound-worthy or not, I'm going to have to pick up an MP Grapple purely because he was my very first (official) Transformer. Got him for my 7th birthday along with Optimus Prime, but I didn't have time to open Prime before school, so I saved him 'til after. Thus Grapple was my first exposure to the proper Transformer experience.
That said, I may have to see what my dealers in the East are going to offer him for...

Coo. At least that's a couple of months between this and Inferno. MP has become more expensive than 3P these days!

"MP" stands for "Maximum Price" more than it does "Masterpiece" these days...

Indeed. I have found I have been priced out of this particular Transformers toy range. I do like that they exist though.

There was a time when MP was all I wanted, but Hasbro have knocked it out of the park with Generations since Combiner Wars started and I'm finding my interest is rapidly returning to Transformers as toys rather than display pieces.
Which I know is an odd thing for someone who continually fails to open the bloody things to say.

However it's now getting to the stage where every single MP figure seems to be about this price so collecting them all probably isn't realistic. But being able to pick and choose favourites to have as display pieces is where I'll stick with it.

MP Grapple is a bland as my pants.
(Mrs Shocks bought my last load of pants. As comfy as they are (they're M&S) there's no novelty to them at all. Just black, grey, grey and black...)

I know I've been getting all G1 characters in MP and we all knew this was coming, but this is pretty underwhelming.

But being able to pick and choose favourites to have as display pieces is where I'll stick with it. Not owning an MP Inferno I am wondering something. Is its vehicle mode to scale with the other MP cars? (I.e, for clarity, I mean "to scale with" - i.e 80 - 100% larger than, rather than "the same size as"). Because if it has been done to scale that would explain the larger price for it and Grapple than for the others. I'm in a similar boat to Ralph - there are far too many MP releases a year at too high a price-point for me to even consider getting all of them. Which is fine by me - it just makes it exactly like the original toy-line, after all I was never going to get more than two boxed items a year from that when I was a kid - so picking and choosing now isn't that much different from picking and choosing now I figure. Karl That's exactly why I haven't taken a punt on either, I'm not paying double the price for a marginally bigger figure unless it's completely die cast.

Mine were always grey, never been white. But yes, once you cross the 'Discolouration-Line', it's time for new pants.
And I agree, grey pants are just.... awful...
I'm wearing some right now...
I loath myself....

I agree with the folks who say Grapple is underwhelming.
Unless I can pick it up at a nice price, I think I will pass.
