Put an order in for the Swoop and Slag labels. Mostly for the shiny wings and frill they will create.

Yes, I think I'll have those sets once I get those toys. Toyhax label sets have a habit of making toys look overly busy if you apply whole sets, but occasionally they really hit the mark. The Slag set looks like a nice G1 homage.
I'm slowly applying the sets I got in their sale. I'm about 3/4 through doing Toyworld Infinitor at the moment. It's a really satisfying set to apply because the toy has so may raised and recessed surfaces. Stickers work really well when you can't see the edges, and most of the set for Infinitor fits into recessed panels in the plastic that really make the detail look like it's supposed to be there. It's also very G1 inspired. I'll do a photo or two when I'm finished.

Dapper chap in his new label set: Given this figure is perfect Leader height, we SO need someone to make a Leader Scorponok. Biggest 3P crime yet there isn't one.

That the Toyworld Max? It is, isn't it. What a treat.

Yes. Bought him when it looked like Toyworld were going to do all the Headmasters back in the day. I actually hadn't even taken him out of the box until I got the Hasbro Headmasters and realised he'd go nicely with them, more Marvel scale than the Titan class toy. The labels finish him off really nicely.

This photo reduces the effect somewhat, but I'm trying to decide if any of the red thigh/knee/toe labels need to come off. I think some do, but I can't decide which. All three make his legs look too busy.

Full Tilt really benefits from his reprolabels set. What is essentially a big purple lump gains loads of intricate detail. Again, my photos don't really show this off well, but he now looks almost as good as a normal deluxe.

The thing that really bugs me about Full Tilt, is he's too slavish. If they had moved some of the robot parts to the same sprues that the wheels were on, he would have looked SOOOO MUCH BETTER, while requiring zero paint to spice him up.
So yeah, was so pleased with the repro set for him.

That G2 conversion set tempts me, even though I already have the RtS Jazz with the repro g2 conversion. I'd kinda really hoped they'd have a different character conversion set, with all the white cars there are. I have good money for a white Crasher conversion with a new (toy based) head. www.tfu.info/Gobots/Renegades/Crasher/crasher.htmAAAAARG!!! Just days after I finally pull the trigger and order a G2 conversion set for PotP Jazz, they go and put up the White Crasher conversion set I hoped for in the first place! toyhax.com/for-potp/2522-labels-for-potp-smokeout.html

Possibly not the right thread for this, but I've come to the realisation that all a lot of my older figures need is a decent set of new labels. So my question is, what is the best way to remove the remnants of the old labels without risking stripping the paint and stuff?

Goo... gone?

I've been using fingernails and lighter fluid. That seems to be a recommendation. It isn't perfect but it does work.
It's sooooo satisfying stripping labels off a figure, taking it apart, giving everything good scrub and then putting it back together with new labels. I've done a few of mine now - the end results are great with reprolabels.

googone.com/It's an adhesive remover. It's gentle enough to use on paint, glass, and stuff, and manages to help eat through stuff like sticker glue. Walmart here has it near the duct tape. So check similar home improvement, or automotive locations in your stores.

wouldn't lighter fluid make 'em stink?

Hasn't been a problem so far. They get a good scrub afterwards.
Toph, I don't think Goo Gone is a brand we have here. I've never seen it.

wouldn't lighter fluid make 'em stink? isopropyl alcohol is great (you can get a bottle for a fiver off amazon) BUT will dissolve paint

Depending on the size of bottle and type, between $3 and $16. That's just looking through online listings, which are a bit confusing. Would need to run to the store before I know exact prices.
You can try checking your amazon. I'd do it, but switching countries is harder on mobile.

Got a delivery from Toyhax yesterday. I'm looking forward to applying the Rodimus Prime set, if only because the flame stickers especially started pealing almost instantly once I got him. First though, I'd picked up the GT Dump Truck set to see how they'd go with my NBK Devastator. Must say I'm pretty happy. A few needed trimmed a little to fit the altered mould, and a few couldn't be used at all, but most could, and the results look pretty nice, especially improving the chest shield in combined mode.
