Nope. Last Nintendo console I bought was the Wii.
I treasure my N64 though. Sold the GameCube but the N64 is going nowhere.

Not yet, but that's because I have other things to pay for.
Might get it later in the year though. I shall wait for Spence's opinion on it in a future Geshcast.

When I see pictures of the Switch, all I can see is a dog's head.

In other Switch news... nope I'm not getting one... at least not yet. I'm getting Breath of the Wild on Wii U as that means I can play it for £38, rather than over £300.
I suspect I'll pick up a Switch when Splatoon 2 comes out.

Saw it in Asda today. I can be patient. None in my asda! If any shops near me had had it today, I might have cracked! Zelda's the only thing I'm interested in so far though. Everything else looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive for what it is (and all the rumours are that 1-2 Switch was supposed to be the free pack-in game, not something for £35!!

Had it in two Asda, or at least werent showing as out of stock. The lack of any packed in game completely killed my interest in picking it up right away though. Im very happy to wait till I can get it much closer to £200.

With consoles increasingly catering to hardcore and online gamers, and I have no internet access because rural, I feel no compulsion to buy consoles. I much enjoy taking my 3DS and playing where ever I damn well feel like, instead of being rooted to the livingroom TV. The Switch's ability to cater to this is a mark in it's favor, but it's limited battery, no backwards compatability of any sort, and need for online connectivity are huge strikes against it. However an actual REAL pokemon game will be released on Switch, and the next animal crossing will probably be on it, which means I'll break down and get it eventually.
I am disappointed though by the lack of innovation. It's innovative in that it's doing something the other consols aren't by converting into a built in portable handheld unit, but other than that? It's not really doing anything from a 3DS, Wii U, PSXboxwhatever. I actually thought they were going to make the first actual VR game system. They've been developing glasses free 3D screens and all kinds of motion controls for years now.

Loving the new Zelda, it's a bit of a departure from the norm, and unexpected hits from baddies will actually kill you. Just ordered a pro controller to see if it's a bit easier to handle than the joy cons, they are a bit small for me.

Picked up a Switch thanks to getting a £100 amazon voucher from switching phone contracts (which I was going to anyway)
So far I have:
Zelda Shovel Knight Cave Story
Probably going to pick up Mario Kart too. Not sure what else (if anything yet, I think that's enough to be getting on with!!)

Still no Switch for me but I was able to get a snes classic preordered. Are the Europe releases shaped like a proper SNES not that weird angular grey and purple thing from the US?

They are. Even the packaging is done in the Euro style.
Still annoyed the NES was so hard to get, but I think I wanted it as a novelty more than anything. I want the Snes more, I dont have most of the games it comes with.
