I love the French. Yet I hate the French. They are the single greatest threat to any possible German Nation. The Habsburgs are the immediate threat, to be sure, but eventually their vast multi-ethnic empire will become unmanageable, and they will endure a slow death. A careful dissection of their power will enable us. The maratine powers will not care, in the first instance anyway, their concerns are easily massaged away by the presence of a possible continental ally to distract their true enrmy. And of Russia...? Russia cannot be predicted, so it is pointess to even try. One simply must hope their chaotic ways continue and not allow them to realise their potential. And that leaves the French. The true enrmy. Who will give their all to stop us. Even if it means allying with their ancient Habsburg enemy. They will try to stop us because the one thing they care about, more than territory, more than their colonial rivalry with the British, is keeping Germany fractured. Because a united Germany is something they cannot conceive.

Ummm... Heskith Farm Park. Billy Bob's Icecream palour. The Castle (pub). The Castle (castle). The Narrowboat (pub). A narrowboat cannal ride (cannal ride). Alexanders (pub). Embsay steam train. The woods, although it's going to rain tomorrow. Cliffe Castle is just down the road and is all kinds of awesome. Art in The Pen is on as well.... Man I love this town.

I liked the castle but not its overpriced Tat Shop with the very grumpy staff. The sheet of paper gave me a tour. Also kids eat a 3 course meal for only £1 at Oakleys. |
