Can't find the thread on here about this or X-men TV series
But watched it last night & is the 2nd guy in the room Mastermind? because of the close in twice on his eyes like in X2. This is a guy who can make people see something that doesn't happen & we saw him die in X2.

I don't know. I couldn't make it through the pilot episode, and bailed a little after some confrontation in a room with a bunch of MiBs and he figured out they were afraid of him. I couldn't keep up with what was going on, I couldn't keep up with the characters (even aubry plaza wasn't helping), and I was finding it borderline painful trying to keep my attention focused on it. (And I managed to force my way through Riverdale)
each addition to this franchise just makes it more and more of a convoluted mess, at this point.
It's possible it was Mastermind. Who lived and died in the movies is irrelevant as this is supposed to be it's own timeline.

The whole front end was in Legion's mind wasn't it & that the first real bit was in the room with pen in his head guy (I've still got the end to watch). But would need to re watch this again. That the headphone wearing one in that place is the Masterforce like Cancer from the comic (that I remember 3 Legion minds that had main control) little kid, that Jack & another one.

Only caught a wee bit of it.
Might watch it via Sky's catch up.

Currently watching this. Realised it had been on the recorder for a year. I quite like the approach. It's a story about Marvel mutants but it isn't about superheroes. It has a Prisoner vibe to it that's hard to explain. Because of this I can see why Fox think they can make New Mutants an outright horror film; it plays with the conventions of TV, but it does it intelligently. At times it's like watching a Peter Greenaway film.

On the last episode. This is a worthwhile watch. Absolutely crazy in parts, but an original approach to mutants. I'm interested to know how much of this is original. I know David Haller is an 80s Marvel character, but Sid Barrett? The Pink Floyd connection seems too obvious for it to be a comic character. Recommended if you like off the wall drama that plays with narrative conventions, in this case particularly sound.

It's all on my Sky+ - will need to watch both it and The Gifted at some point.

I have The Gifted recorded too. Sucker for an X-Men tale. Legion is an episode too long. Did 7&8 last night and I'd had enough by the end. It's very good, almost experimental television, but I fear for how they can carry that through into a second season without just repeating the first.
