If that ridiculous price *isn't* wrong, then I suppose no Dinobot for me.

Yeah, that seems a lot more likely. Surprising though if it is indeed the case that there's been this much confusion. Very odd, however you look at it. I choose to use my eyes.

Hmmm. That does seem rather out of whack with what the other MP Transformers go for. I mean, these are usually relatively affordable compared to the rest of the high-end collector-focused stuff in the Japanese Domestic market(I'm thinking Bandai's Soul of Chokogin, or most of Arcadia's output for comparison here). I'm inclined towards the view that this probably the case price rather than the retail pricing.

It is almost certainly is the case that the list price is for a case rather than an individual item but it says a lot for how TF prices have now risen to high luxury item price-points that I really wouldn't be surprised it was $250 for one figure.

I'd already given up trying to keep up with MPs, Sunstreaker and Megatron had already reached the limits of what I'd pay (not hat Ive bought either). If this is the new normal Im out.

The only way they will learn they reach the limit of how high they can jack up prices, is of we stop paying.
This was the problem with FP's price gouging. They kept raising prices, raising production numbers (which they told us at the start, low production numbers=high prices. Troopbuilder packs were cheap because higher production numbers. But as soon as they realized those were hot ticket items, they started gouging the shit out of those), and we kept shelling out.

I assume that means bigger than Primal as he was in the cartoon.
Still cant comprehend how that makes it work twicethe price of Primal which was already pushing it.

If this price holds does this become the most expensive mass release single Transformer toy of all?

Depends how you define it. TRU asking £200 for Trypticon was more, but in the real world he didn't actually cost that.

I was thinking in terms of RRP what is the single most expensive mass retail Transformer ie not a con or club toy.
Phil must know. He has spreadsheets.

I have to say, I think these Beast Wars characters lend themselves to masterpiece figures more than the original Transformers because they came from that bit later on in terms of design. These look like Masterpiece figures because they're spot on to the toon versions, whereas the hybrid 'is it an improved toy/is it supposed to look as plain as the cartoon' confusion with the G1 stuff means the style is all over the place. Put a load of G1 MPs together and they don't look like the same line - these really look good together.

I know thats cartoon accurate scale, but I'd probably have been more interested in a smaller Dinobot that was packed full of stuff to justify £180 rather than the cost largely being a result of it being big.
