I've never heard of Freddos. Martin W H A T . -Ralph In fairness, I hadn't heard of Freddo's until the first time you or Turnbull mentioned them in my presence. They simply weren't the sort of thing that was bought for me when I was a kid, and hence weren't really on my radar when I started buying my own confectionery later on. Crunchie, Fruit and Nut, Dairy Milk, Mars, Marathon - all familiar names. Freddo, not so much. Karl

I'm aware of what Freddos are but I don't think I've ever eaten one. When it comes to small bars, Dairy Milk little bars are the same weight. When it comes to chocolate you can posh it up all you like, but you can't beat Dairy Milk unless you're talking proper Belgian stuff. We bought some boxes of chocolates on holiday in Bruges once and it was mind-blowingly good.

Freddos are Dairy Milk chocolate. They're a bit thicker than a Little Bar of chocolate and sometimes that's just what you need. Especially when they aren't called Cadbury Wildlife bars any more. #RuinedForever

Having a read on wikipedia and the lack of Freddo knowledge makes a bit more sense. Originally available in the UK between 73 and 79 it then vanished till 94. That 15 year gap probably overlaps with some if not all the time when we would have been the target audience.
Most of the Freddos Ive had* have probably come with Easter eggs.
*ignoring the VAST quantity of popping candy freddos I got about 10-15 years ago.
.... Yes. I still have some.

Little bars are Wildlife bars are they? Outrageous.

And with the demise of Animal Bars as well Big Chocolate really has it in for education and environmental awareness. Outrageous.

Ah - that would make sense then. 79 would have been when I was 5, so not buying my own chocolate, and by 94 I was in University and my chocolate buying preferences were pretty much set... Karl

If I hadn't learned of the existence of Freddos through the Hub, I would have learned of their existence through last night's Have I Got News For You.
Hislop didn't know what they were either. Not sure what that says about me or him.

I just watched the first episode of Hattrick's new US version of HIGNFY. I always find it fascinating how close we are to America in some respects, but completely and utterly different in others.

We've watched a few episodes of this now. It does find it's feet. Incredible to see how comments on race are so bitter and close to the surface and yet openly discussed.
