That Sunstreaker's not too bad, as a concept. What I do find offputting is how that unbroken yellow just looks cheap, as does the lack of wrist articulation. I'm also slightly put off by the possible amount of clear plastic used in this. Whilst I'm generally a fan of clear windows over opaque ones, I don't like the fact that rather than clear sections, these days whole chunks of the robot are made out of clear plastic - including hinges and joints. And that just puts the fear in me. I'll be waiting for reductions on this one, I think...

I can't figure out what's going on with those shoulder pad. Nothing about them matches up with the car, and they look too big to not be part of the car.
Current theory I'm putting up to Phil Review is that they're the front end, and what we're seeing makes up the underside of the front end. I also think the front wheels are embedded in his biceps, but due to colors and angle, we can't see them in this picture.

Hmm. I thought the "bumper" were his feet, but you're right. So much bright yellow plastic washes out all the detailing in these pictures.

Also, i thought the wheels were yellow with the hubs painted black, but that's not it at all!

He's a bit chunky on the back, but he's okay.
If you squint.
Or put a bag over your head.
Or his head.
It'll be fine.

Tra Gen Studio series Ldr TF4 Optimus prime Product Number: G0482 FINALLY. I do actually really like this design (maybe only because it's different, but whatever) so I've been waiting for this for some time. Let's hope they actually do a decent job here... Ooh, Apelinq. I've been waiting for that. Hopefully it'll be fairly distinctive from Primal.

Holy fucking shit, RotB Wheeljack is a bloody nightmare!
Unless you are a Studio or RotB completionist, I seriously do not recommend! The "mainline" deluxe is so much better. A way more fun toy to transform.
This very much seems like it would have benefited from being a small voyager.

That is certainly a Cybertron-looking-ish version of an Optimus Prime - sadly based more on Siege than on something more radical like The War Within, but I wasn't expecting anything different, to be honest.
Anyway, we're probably due more of these now since the trailer's up today. Although it'll be region locked so we won't be able to watch it in the UK because that's the kind of thing that Paramount do because they're morons. So we'll get to see it whenever someone pirates it and puts it online, then all the toys will be leaked over the next week or two, and we'll get a Pulse stream on them in July, maybe June, and we'll see the toys in B&M round about next March if we're lucky...

Looks a fair bit more Cybertrony than Siege's Earth Mode Cab with a new roof and hideable rear wheels.

That's how you get around the issue! Obviously this isn't aimed at our age demographic, which is good, because I think it's a no from me.

If it didn't have the pre-yellowing type thing going on*, I would like that. Looks like an actual toy rather than Adult Collectable.
-Ralph
*Yes, I know that is the intended colour, but it looks how some recent toys have experienced photodegredation!
