Not only should you include a free gift magnifying glass, but also recreate the competition in the issue where tiny micromasters are hidden throughout that can be found using said magnifying glass. Maybe even offer a prize to anyone who finds them all over the weekend: a random Micromaster!

Along with wrapping the lucky dip "prizes"!

Ah I thought it might have been ok if there is no demand for money. -Ralph Given that old stuff is being actively reprinted again I'd rather safe than sorry You're probably right but you wouldn't be reproducing the published work, just the privately owned line art. But better safe than sorry I suppose. Still a scan of that art could be used to produce a near identical version or a reworked one with replacement characters.. or something.

Not sure what connects a Micromaster poster with a Masterforce fanzine, but if you're doing 12 Autobot and 12 Decepticon Micros and want to make them interesting and include a little nod to the Marvel comic at the same time, here's my suggestion:
Most of the Micro teams' tech-specs didn't do much to give the team members individual characteristics, but tended to talk about the teams as a whole. But when they appeared in the comic, Bob B gave some of them individual abilities. Roadhandler could launch his hand like a missile, and had extendable wrists (used to pin his wrestling opponent). Powertrain could create a smoke cloud from the exhaust pipe on his back and Mudslinger could create a burning fire by spinning the big wheels on his arms, and they used these powers when fighting the Decepticon Pretenders in the swamp. And I think one or two of the Race Car Patrol had lariats.
So... you could show those characters doing their special thing, and then for some or all of the other more obscure Micros, perhaps who never appeared in stories, you could make up special things for them to do. Marvel readers will recognise the abilities of Roadhandler, Mudslinger and co., and you'd be giving distinctive abilities to some guys who previously lacked distinctiveness.
Just a thought!

Printing is going a lot slower than hoped, due to i) it being about 50% bigger this year and ii) quite a few people ignoring the 'please dont put big swarths of black in your work (I should have been a bit harder on it!).
Still cheaper than printing it at a printers place though (at the moment at least, I'm keeping track of the per page price so I can shop for quotes next year if needs be)

Martin Like, Eagle Eye could be really amazing at building sandcastles! Flak's unknown skills on the harmonica! The possibilities are endless!

I already know what the composition will be (a homage to something else with a large cast), I just want names for people's favourites to make it a TMUK piece and not a me piece.
