But they're too big to fight with the PofP Dinobots!!!!! Why? Are you saying that beings can only fight beings the same height as themselves? I disagree - there are plenty of fantastic fictional battles involving beings of different heights - F01 vs the Imperial Master, Indian Jones vs the big Nazi Mechanic, the Dinobots vs Trypticon, Jackie Chan versus any number of Henchmen, Michelle Yeo vs Jason Issacs... The list goes on and on. Volcanicus can still fight Predaking - it just needs to be a better fighter so as to level the height and mass advantage. (Either that or fight mean and bring backup. I suspect at the very least Grimlock is of the same opinion as myself - if in a fair fight, I have done something wrong somewhere... :-) ) Karl |

To be honest I think that the Predacons look pretty much what I expected. They are fairly close to a straight remake of the original toys - which makes sense, given that this is supposed to be the nostalgia line. They actually look quite fun to be honest.
I suspect that it is going to be a little too far beyond my budget, given that it is going to be a lower priority than Eeeeviiillllll Rodimus Prime and Elita-One, but were I in the financial position I used to be then it would undoubtedly be tempting.

Hmmm. Not sure which version he's running... If it is adlt 2.1.5 then I've not got anything compatible on hand. But if it is 2.1.6 then kid.res has probably crashed. Imgntn.exe won't default properly to drm.res after 2.1.3... Well, a reinstall and a restart of the process won't do any harm and if kid.res has crashed then it might fix the problem

No I think its the Predacons being too big. I mean yeah bigger Dinobots would be fine, but those predacons really do look as though they are just upscaled standard combiners.
People said the same about Devastator, but to me it always felt like a unique design and the vehicle modes justified the size far more than Predaking.

The size doesn't bother me as I myself am not too fussed about scale in Transformers.
Exhibit A: Unicron.
Exhibit B: Primus/Cybertron.
Where they in scale the gravitational distortions would destroy the Earth!!!
I shall try to have some pennies for that Predaking boxset. Whenever the originals have been reissued I was short of pennies so missed out and I have always wanted a Predaking. This looks like it will fit the bill for me.
