Why oh why, whenever we see pics of new/upcomming Transformers, half the time they're robot modes are always mistransformed in some way?! The recent Botcon pics, there's always something not quite done right! Who are the folkes that set these figs up? Are they not TF fans?! I'll do it!

No, a lot of the time their not. Certainly for promotional photoshoots and stuff I believe they are folks from the corporate PR department, who are likely no more interested in TF's specifically than they are in My Little Pony or Mr Potato Head.
